Our brand

Round the world the Hanna brand is renowned for its competitive edge

Round the world the Hanna brand is renowned for its competitive edge Adapting high end technology to meet demand for advanced measurement solutions in low to mid markets, Hanna is synonymous with market revolution. World firsts in pH and pocket testers have established our reputation for invention and innovation. Hanna automatic mini titrators broadened access to specialist chemical testing. The unique calibration check featured across Hanna temperature testing equipment raised industry expectations and set new standards among lower market entry products. Pre-amplified and double-junction electrodes, process pH with integrated cellular communication, pocket photometers, portable refractometers – all are the result of a continuous programme of research and development that lies at the heart of Hanna.

Full circle ethos When you buy a Hanna product, you can be confident it is the result of a fully-integrated research, development and manufacturing process. Unlike many instrumentation companies, Hanna does not subscribe to buying-in a product and simply putting the Hanna name on the meter. We research the technology, design the product and implement each and every stage of production.

Our growth and development owes its success to our full circle ethos.

Buffer and calibration

Care and cleaning

pH solutions with a known value are called buffer solutions. They can be used to check the performance and accuracy of your meter and electrode. They also provide a reference against which to calibrate.

Not all cleaning solutions are suitable for food.

Hanna buffer solutions are prepared according to precise formulae and standardised against NIST references to ensure quality and accuracy.

Solutions pH

To keep your pH electrode accurate and to prolong its life, it is important to select the right solution for your appropriate application. Hanna cleaning solutions are therefore specifically formulated to clean electrodes used for dedicated food groups. What’s more, there’s no need to measure and decant the solution before use. Hanna solutions come in individual 20ml sachets making them easy to carry and use wherever and whenever you need.

farm to

Datalogging From farm to fork, food safety requirements insist that the temperature of storage systems is constantly monitored and regularly checked.

Low cost, miniature discreet This great little meter offers a fantastic low cost solution for use across a wide range of applications. It has an extensive memory and offers excellent security measures yet is still small enough to be easily hidden.

From raw ingredients to finished products, all foods must be stored, delivered and prepared in optimum conditions for a safe, healthy shelf life. Grain silos, milk vats, haulage and distribution units, frozen stores, chiller cabinets, heated serveries, airline catering, meals on wheels deliveries … the list is endless, but the need remains the same. All require 24-hour data monitoring and collection to ensure that temperatures remain accurate and constant.

Dataloggers collect this type of data efficiently and accurately. •

On activation, the meter is instantly deployed and can then be left unattended to measure and record the temperature of the storage environment over a set monitoring period. Logging intervals and delays can be selected to meet the demands of different applications. Data is automatically collected, stored and tamper-proof. Programmable high and low alarm points allow the operator to be alerted if temperatures should rise above or fall below acceptable safe limits.

Temperature Calibration why, what and how A

ll temperature measurement meters require regular calibration and checking to ensure they deliver the high levels of accuracy demanded by health and safety legislation in the UK and EU. Although there is no specified frequency for calibration it is general practice is to carry out an annual calibration and re-certification on the thermometers used in the workplace.

An annual check by a certified calibration laboratory will ensure the readings taken with a digital thermometer can be relied upon. What many people do not realise is that there is a difference in quality between different types of accreditation and the certificates issued.

Hanna Temperature Calibration Lab
