Speedscape Tea Factory & Leisure Resort Project What I think the most interesting about this site is the artificial landform. The dumped soil from other construction works form a small hill in the middle of the downtown in Nantou, Taiwan. This site is now turning into a Tea Factory together with Leisure Resort for tourists.

Layers Muzha Park Renewal Project Muzha Park is located in WenShan district where it is surrounded by mountains in Taipei city. Due to a past false policy, most of the users around this area are minority groups like elders and disabilities. The renewal project consist of recovery of the lake ecology and redesign the park.

The Urban Gap Deconstruct & Reconstruct the Structure of Mt. Toad Village The Huamin village is located at the edge of the Taipei city, the foot of the Mt. Toad. The settlement dates to the Qing Dynasty, when the Han Chinese drove away the Aboriginal inhabitants. Then came the Japanese, followed by the Americans and Chiang Kai-shek’s troops as they retreated to Taiwan in the late 1940s.

21 | The Urban Gap
I’m interested in the way that the village spaces are influented by the rich history background and the different kinds of people living there. However, this area belongs to National Taiwan Uni. of Science & Tech, and it is going to be demolished for students.
| 4th year, Semester 2. Jun, 2014. | Mei-Chen Hsieh / mj980213@yahoo.com.tw
Adjacent to the perpetually jammed intersection of Roosevelt Road and Keelung Road, the settlement feels like a world apart withing the mordern Taipei city. There are many school facilities around, so turning the village into a ‘study village’ would benefits the whole area.

Welcoming Court Yard The elder residents came here everyday for exersice together. This is very unique within urban area and I found it very interesting. I tried to keep the atmoshpere of gathering, so I turn this place into a space for holding group activities and it is where everyone get to meet and interact.
