NN07 SS11 - The Swedish Odyssey

Page 1

We went on a journey. An odyssey taking us back in time. Through the very heart of a country. Through forests, past lakes, villages and people. Our curiosity took us to small motels, cafĂŠs and restaurants. Many of them forgotten. A few of them famous. But all of them had one thing in common. They carry the heart and spirit of times gone by. Welcome to places where traditions are still strong, and the people listen to music, drink and party all through the long summer nights. We did our tour in a truly classic way. In an old 1961 Amazon. One of the most beautiful cars ever made, if you ask us. This is our odyssey through Sweden. Welcome to join us.

The Lake Hulingen. No other lake has probably ever had as many intoxicated people enjoying a swim in it.

Old cars are like.. old cars are. Especially this old beauty. But we’re not in a hurry.

Egg and anchovy open sandwich. Make sure you pop in for one at GÜsta’s. Where is it? Well, we leave it up to you to find it... we did!

On the road again...

Croquet. The sport of choice for No Nationality this summer. We like the feeling of wood, the smell of grass and the air of sportsmanship...

The beauty of faded grandness.

Restrooms for gentlemen.

A young man with a guitar. Yes, we’ve seen it before. But we still kind’a like it

A long day’s journey into night

No Nationality the Rockabilly way

The day after the night before.

After a long night,

it’s necessary

to fill up with some heavy fuel. A greasy sandwich for us and high performing 98 octane for the

beauty.

Great day. Great Lake.

We really don’t care about getting any fish or not. The notion of our Evinrude outboard buzzing through the water is relaxing enough.

The best cure for a hangover: Jump in a chilly lake somewhere along the road and cool down.

Some days are a little blue.

And finally our odyssey came to an abrupt ending. Our four-wheeled beauty met her destiny in the middle of nowhere.Head on with a carpenter in a hurry on a small country road. But we sure had given the cows something to chew over...

And the story continues...

This production is made by the worlds biggest art director, and the worlds smallest photographer. We thank Dan and Rikard for their participation in the odyssey. We thank the people we met along the way. Sorry for the beer in the sofa and on the floor. Repro is made by Härnqvist & Co. Printed by Vindspelet. Lets’ continue our journey.
