My passion
for color, fabrics, materials, floor plans and all things termed as Design started at a very
young age and has grown into a lifelong fascination with Interior Design. During my time as an Interior Architect Student, I have learnt many creative skills such as space planning, hand drafting, model making and craftsmanship. With time and
opportunities coming my way, I have also developed skills such as Time Management, Team Leadership and Project Handling and efficiency. Each project has given me an opportunity to explore new ideas, respond to new challenges, and build design skills and enhance my knowledge. I believe that design is powerful and can be used to create experiences that excel the productivity, livability, and likability of a space and enrich our everyday lives. The works in my portfolio are my desires to create an innovative, environment friendly, functional spaces through thoughtful planning and creative problem- solving that will enhance the lives of all occupants. I am incredibly self-motived, organised and detail oriented and take great pride in my work. I am seeking an experience where I can work alongside great designers in a

Brilliantly situated in the heart of Oxford, United Kingdom, The MINI Plant forms a major attraction for the people to visit and see its working and the birth of Mini. This project triggers around the idea of keeping its visitors engaged and not get bored. It explores the idea of a Tunnel, a Museum and a Kaleidoscope which together come up as design solution to the MINI Tour.
INDIVIDUAL PROJECT

11
CONCEPTUALIZATION
The emphasis of the first space is on an interactive screen that comes on the ceiling in the form of a tunnel. It gives a feel of MINI’s racing along them on the race track and therefore, would end up filling the visitor with excitement and enthusiasm. This concept engages the visitor visually andy making the visitor feel the joy of riding or racing a MINI. The visitor can easily relate to the specifications of the car through the sound/ noise that it creates while racing. The second space has been proposed with an idea of a walk through Kaleidoscope which showcases various different models of The Mini that took birth since ages. Since a kaleidoscope is a concept of multiplying and reflecting one image. Therefore, my concept would come up as a magical tunnel through which a visitor would be engaged with different models of the Mini including the Limited editions, the vintage cars, the past, the present and the future. These models reflect on the opposite wall, in the form of a coloured circular light through which each model of the Mini would be visible. It also reflects the idea of a museum in which the visitors are encouraged with the history and preserves the facts about something particular.

JAGUAR LAND ROVER T H E

“The Saffron Cottage” is a proposal of a Fine Dine Indian Restaurant which is a brand interpretation of the Jaguar Land Rover. The concept of the restaurant is inspired by the Jaguar’s logo. It has further developed, taking into consideration the characteristics that the Jaguar Land Rover possess, such as luxury and simplicity. The restaurant was decided to have a fine dine dining style as Jaguar Land Rover is looked up as a brand that only the elite class of the society can afford to buy. Therefore, taking the formal aspect of the brand, the dining style is designed as Fine Dine. Since it was observed that being British car brands, Jaguar Land Rover was acquired by Tata Group (Indian Company) in 2008, therefore, it serves Indian cuisine. The Saffron Cottage is designed to be a high-end restaurant. Therefore, its target market is more affluent demographic. Since it would be located in London, it will be a major attraction for the rich families and couples. It may even be surrounded by businessmen and more professionals, people who might be interested to invite their clients for a meal.

The idea was to design a two level space which is not only spacious, but is luxurious as well. But given the limitation of 200sqmtr, and the total area was exceeding the limitation.
This design can be described as simplistic, elegant and luxurious after cutting down half of the 3rd concept, while keeping the same concept, but within 200 sq.mtr.

M AT ER I AL B OA RD The material and finishes used in the restaurant are the ones that are royal in nature. The feel of the luxurious environment is taken care of. Therefore, chandeliers, long height lamps and pendent lights are used as the source of lighting. The lighting would be soft and flattering so as to make the guests feel comfortable and relaxed, to complement to fine dining style. Stone is used as a material on the restaurant facade. It is also used as a part of the reception table, the stone mesh space dividers and the long backlit planter. Since, stone is a very elegant material therefore, it will be a good combination to blend with the other materials in the design. Wooden and marble flooring play a major role in the restaurant specially in the areas that are occupied by the customers. Since the furniture, walls and lights are in neutral colour, wooden flooring will create a soothing and cozy impact of the restaurant. The furniture selected for the restaurant is very elegant, royal and luxurious. White leather sofas are used in some of the seating areas, whereas, long back gold plated chairs are used in other seating areas.

WHEEL OF TIME by group
Coventry’s largest city park opened in july1921 as a tribute to the soldiers from the citywho lost their lives during the First World War (1914 - 1918). The War Memorial Park is around 90 feet high and the design was made by architect MrTickner. Our Pavilion will be sited at The War Memorial Park because it carries most of the History of Coventry which will also be included in our Pavilion, It is aesthetically appealing due to its varied range of habitats from formal gardens to wild lower meadows.

Vocational
training
centre
for
transgeners
This project is a proposal which caters to the need of this transgender community in India. This project is not just a vocational training institute or just a colony of hijras(transgenders) constructed somewhere in the corner which is totally cut off from the rest of the world, but it is an attempt to re-establish the hijras so that they can grow, learn, feel equal and live happily and peacefully. If the hijras have to be properly and perfectly established in the society, there has to be a key of contact between them and the main stream because even now many people are scared of the hijras, which prevents them from knowing them properly or ending up knowing nothing but the myths about them. Vocational training would be provided to them which would allow them to learn the skills professionally and further earn with dignity. This will help them groom themselves, learn how to walk into a society, bring confidence in them, which will help to bring people close to them. The main aim is to remove the barrier and the fear between the people and the transgenders.

CONCEPTUALIZATION
People from overcrowded urban areas are busy in their own personal lives. Therefore, a centre for the transgenders should be designed in an area which merges with the environment and also does not affect the pre- residing people. The research came up with the objective that took the centre into a new level of designing through a combination of : • Fulfilment of the trans-genders needs and requirements, • Providing them all the basic amenities, • Making them feel equal in the society, • Training them so that they are capable of earning a descent living, and • Balancing the socio-economic condition of the city.

Satya paul RETAIL STORE
Retail space design for Satya Paul. Situated in the most recent and new attraction, The Mall of India, Noida, India, Satya Paul, as a designer, has a major hold on the market. The brief was to design a small space of 150sq feet, for retail outlet for his accessories. The brand had to be interpreted in a new language without doing away with its existing image in the industry. A special wall was briefed to be designed, named as the “brand wall, which would act as a reflective image of the brand.

CONCEPTUALIZATION
Situated in the most recent and new attraction, The Mall of India, Noida, India, Satya Paul, as a designer, has a major hold on the market. Therefore, to design an accessories retail outlet to complement his style was a major challenge. Firstly the brand persona had to be kept in mind before moving on to the next step. Since, Satya Paul represents and reflects colours and patterns, therefore a similar theme was thought about. The main concept of the outlet is to give it an elegant and colourful reflection of the brand. This was done by marrying geometry to the spaces and colours.

Digital & creative HAND TEXTILES
The idea behind the whole activity was to select a picture of our own choice, that has been clicked by you and selecting the most prominent colours and further creating a colour palette of it. This was taken ahead by trying different knitting techniques of your representation of the selected picture. This was accompanied by creating shibori patterns and then digitalising it on photoshop to create a pattern. After coming up with different digitalised patterns, they were taken into interior spaces and designing it on different areas like products and fabrics.
