Klatsch und Tratsch vom Tauernhof Anonymus Gossip & Tittle-Tattle from Tauernhof Anonymus Der Anonymus darf endlich mal wieder berichten. Danke an das Team für die Gelegenheit auch mich wieder mal zu Wort kommen zu lassen. Habt ihr schon gehört, dass beim 3. Fishermans Friend Strongmanrun wieder ein Tauernhofteam am Start sein wird? Die waren ja 2016 genial, die Jungs und Mädchen. Es soll auch wieder kostenlose Startplätze geben, allerdings werden sie dieses Mal per Gewinnspiel verlost. Läuft anscheinend dann ab April alles über FB, diese amerikanische Gesichtsbuchseite. Naja, manche sagen, da soll man sich unbedingt anmelden, weil man dann auf dem neuesten Stand ist. Nochwas: Da gibt es diesen Roland Stauder. Der hat in Südtirol eine Mountainbikestrecke, den „Stoneman“ ins Leben gerufen und eine im Erzgebirge in Deutschland, die „Miriquidi“. Und jetzt, jetzt plant dieser Roland – ein unglaublich netter Typ, durfte ich schon kennenlernen – eine Stoneman Biketour auch in Österreich. Und, es sollte ihn nur einmal geben! Und jetzt dürft ihr raten wo die sein soll. ... richtig! In Flachau! Also wenn das klappt Leute, wäre das eine super coole Sache. Gruß und Kuss euer Tauernhof Anonymus ;-)

Finally, Anonymus can report again. I thank the team for giving me the opportunity to have my say again. Have you already heard that the Tauernhof Team is yet again taking part in the 3rd Fisherman’s Friend Strongman Run? The girls and boys were great in 2016. There should be free of charge starting places available again but they will be given away in a draw this time. Information will be available on FB - that American book of faces - from April. Well, some say you have to register there so you are kept up-to-date. And another thing: There is a man called Roland Stauder. He is the initiator of the “Stoneman“ mountain bike route in South Tyrol and the “Miriquidi“ in the Ore Mountains in Germany. This Roland - a very kind guy, I had the honour to meet him personally - is now planning a Stoneman Bike Tour in Austria too. The tour should actually have been a one-off project! And now guess where the next Stoneman is going to be developed. ...Exactly! In Flachau! If this happens, then that will be absolutely cool. Greetings from your Tauernhof Anonymus ;-)

15 Jahre Slavo und Rosana mit im Tauernhof-Team

Bereits zu ihrem 10-jährigen Betriebszugehörigkeitsjubiläum haben die Beiden aus der Times gelacht. Nun sind wieder 5 Jahre verstrichen und unsere beiden Fixsäulen im Unternehmen sind noch stärker geworden. Zum besten Know How hat sich eine starke Routine gesellt. Großes DANKE an unsere Hausdame Rosana und ihren Mann Slavo – Koch im Schusterhäusl und Beefspezialist. Slavo and Rosana 15 years in the Tauernhof Team Both have already been smiling in the Times on the occasion of their 10th anniversary of employment with the hotel. Another 5 years have passed and our two strong supports have become even stronger. Top knowhow h as been enhanced by a strong routine. A big THANK YOU to our housekeeper Rosana and her husband Slavo - beef specialist and chef at the Schusterhäusl.

Starke Unterstützung Strong support Wärme-Rückgewinnung im Tauernhof Mit dem Einstieg bei den Green-Hotels haben wir uns zum Ziel gesetzt, jedes Jahr ein vernünftiges Projekt als Umweltbeitrag zu leisten. Mit dem Anbau der Küche beim Schusterhäusl wird die gesamte Küchenabluft mit einer Wärmerückgewinnungsanlage ausgeführt und damit die Warmwasseraufbereitung und die Gebäudeheizung unterstützt. 83% der warmen Abluft können wieder rückgeführt werden. Wir meinen: Daumen hoch!

Heat recovery at the Tauernhof Becoming a member of Green Hotels, we have made it our goal to contribute by realising a useful project every year. The addition of the new kitchen to the Schu-sterhäusl is one such project. The entire exhaust air from the kitchen is discharged through a heat recovery system, thus being used for the heating of hot water and the heating of the building. 83% of the warm exhaust air can be reused. We say: THUMBS UP!

Der BBQ Abend im Schusterhäuslgarten ist für die Sommergäste immer ein besonderer Wochenhighlight im Kulinarikprogramm.

The BBQ evening in the garden of the Schusterhäusl is always a special highlight for summer guests in the weekly culinary programme.

Aber nicht immer spielte in den letzten Jahren das Wetter mit und desto später der Sommer, desto früher wurde es kalt neben der Enns. Mit dem Anbau einer neuen Küche, einem Ein-Millionen-Euro-Projekt , wurde nun Abhilfe geschaffen. Das neue Gebäude wurde wie eine Art Schutzmauer vor die Enns gestellt. Sollte es vom Himmel her nass werden, kann die Grillshow in der neuen Küche - mit ausreichend Platz für eine Küchenparty - durchgeführt werden. Unsere Gäste dürfen dann in der gemütlichen Stub´n des Schusterhäusels Platz nehmen.

But the weather has not always played along in the past few years; and the later the summer, the earlier it got colder next to the Enns river. Adding a new kitchen, a million Euro project, has greatly improved the situation. The new building has been placed in such way that it serves as a protective wall in front of the Enns river. And if it rains, then the grill show can take place in the new kitchen with plenty of space for a kitchen party and the cosy public room of the Schusterhäusl is also very inviting.

Eine ganze Woche Urlaub alleine mit meinem Onkel?! – Oje, ich war mir unsicher, aber da wusste ich auch noch nicht, was mich in Flachau erwarten würde.

One week holiday alone with my Uncle ?! - I wasn’t quite sure about that at first. But I didn’t know what is waiting for me in Flachau.

Tag 1: Ein tolles Hotel, es hat eine große Kletterwand an der Hausmauer. Außerdem gibt es eine coole Halle zum Skaten und BMX fahren, ein Trampolin, einen Beachvolleyball Platz und vieles mehr.

Day 1: A great hotel. There is a big climbing wall on the exterior wall. And there is a fantastic hall for skating and BMX biking, a trampoline, a beach volleyball court and much more.

Tag 2: Heute habe ich einige andere Kids kennengelernt und es gab eine Olympiade in der Funsporthalle. Ich habe die schnellste Runde im Pumptrack gefahren - dafür gabs einen Preis. Und wir haben eine Trinkflasche und ein Club T-Shirt bekommen.

Day 2: I have met some other kids today and Olympics were staged in the Fun Sports Hall. I was the fastest on the pump track and won a prize. And we got a drinking bottle and a club T-shirt.

Tag 3: Heute machten wir eine abenteuerreiche Bike-Tour mit Bike Guide Luki. Danach fuhr ich mit Oskar ein Wettrennen. Ich habe gewonnen! Zugegeben, es war ein bißchen unfair. ;)

Day3: We went on an exciting bike tour with a bike guide today. Then I challenged Oskar to a race and won! Okay, it was a bit unfair. ;)

Tag 4: Die heutige Bike-Tour startete schon vor dem Frühstück. Auf einer Hütte wartete Hans mit Eiern und Speck auf uns. Nachmittags spiele ich oft mit anderen Kindern. Beim Fußball ist Berni unser Schiedsrichter. Er ist richtig cool!

Day 4: Today’s bike tour started before breakfast already. Hans waited for us with eggs and bacon at a hut. I play with other kids most afternoons. Berni is our football referee. He is really cool!

Tag 5: Genial! Wir waren heute ausgerüstet mit Downhill Bikes, Knieschützern und Sturzhelm mit Luki im Bikepark Wagrain. Gar nicht so einfach dort runter zufahren. Er hat uns die tollsten Tricks gezeigt.

Day 5: Cool! Equipped with downhill bikes, knee protectors and helmet, we went to the Wagrain Bike Park today. Downhilling wasn’t that easy there the guide showed us some great tricks.

Tag 6: Heute gab´s Abendessen auf einer Hütte. Wir sind schon am Nachmittag losmarschiert. Theresa kochte leckeres Essen: „Stelz‘n und Kasnock’n“. Mit den Fackeln sind wir im Dunklen herunter gewandert.

Day 6: Today we had dinner in a hut. We left already in the afternoon and Theresia cooked some tasty food: “Stözn and Kasnock’n”. We then hiked back in the dark by torchlight.

Tag 7: Zum Finale ging´s zum Zorbing. Dabei setzt man sich in eine große Kugel und rollt den Berg hinunter bis einem so richtig schwindelig ist. Schade, dass heute schon die letzte Nacht ist. Ich hätte es hier noch länger aushalten können.

Day7: Going zorbing was the final highlight. Zorbing is fun; you sit in a sphere and roll downhill until you are dizzy. It’s a shame that this is the last night. I would have liked to stay a bit longer.

2. Als Kamilleblüte gehöre ich wohl zu den bekanntesten Heilkräutern und bin vielfältig einsetzbar, weil ich krampflösende sowie schmerzstillende Extrake entwickle. Diese lindern Muskelschmerzen, Neuralgien und Rückenschmerzen.

2. The flowers of the camomile are some of the best known medicinal herbs and are used for a wide range of treatments. They have antispasmodic and analgesic powers and camomile extract relieves aching muscles, neuralgia and back pain.

3. Bei Muskelzittern, Hexenschuss und Überanstrengung der Muskeln kannst du dich auf mich verlassen: Johanniskraut, oder Hypericum perforatum werde ich genannt und verschaffe ebenfalls herrliche Linderung.

Die besondere Würze im Tauernhof The special spice of the Tauernhof Schmackhaftes und gesundes, selbst gemachtes Kräutersalz eignet sich hervorragend zum Würzen von verschiedenen Speisen. Unser Rezept verleiht euren Speisen, Suppen und Saucen eine besonders schmackhafte Note! Wir raten für die Herstellung von eurem Bio-Kräutersalz ein hochwertiges Salz zu verwenden. Optimal für die Herstellung eignet sich Himalaya-Salz. Der Vielfalt der Kräuter sind keine Grenzen gesetzt. Es empfiehlt sich alle Kräuter zu verwenden, die vor der Winterzeit noch im Kräuterbeet stehen geblieben sind. Diese werden im Anschluss in der Luft oder auch im Backrohr bei 35°C für ca. 25-30 Minuten getrocknet. Auf das Wenden dürft ihr dabei nicht vergessen! Danach müsst ihr die Blätter von den Stielen riebeln und mit Himalaya-Salz mischen. Das Mischverhältnis richtet sich ganz nach eurem Belieben. Mit Hilfe eines Mörsers, Kaffeemühle, ThermoMix und dgl. werden Salz und Kräuter zerkleinert und gut durchgemischt. Danach könnt ihr euer eigenes Bio-Kräutersalz in saubere, verschließbare Gläser abfüllen und mit einem passenden Deckel verschließen.

Tasty and healthy: the homemade herbal salt is perfect for spicing up a wide range of dishes. Our recipe gives your dishes, soups and sauces a very tasty character! We recommend to use high-quality salt, ideally Himalaya salt, for making the organic herbal salt. The range of herbs used is unlimited. We recommend to use herbs which remain in the herb bed until winter. These are then air-dried or dried in the oven by 35°C for approx. 25-30 minutes. Please don’t forget to turn the herbs over! Then remove the leaves from the stems and mix them in with the sea salt. The mixing ratio depends on your preferences. Use a pestle to grind the salt and herbs and mix well. Then you fill your own organic herbal salt into clean, lockable jars and close them with a suitable lid.

Bereits bei der Ankunft werdet ihr von unserer „Diva“ Karin recht herzlich empfangen. In geselliger Runde genießen wir abends den Empfangscocktail, bei dem wir den Ablauf der Woche durchsprechen werden.

Our “diva” Karin will welcome you on your arrival. We enjoy a welcome cocktail and discuss the week’s course of events during a sociable evening.

Am Mittwoch starten wir mit einer gemütlichen „Einfahrtour“ von etwa 2,5 Stunden und 400 Höhenmeter, sowie einem Leistungscheck aller Teilnehmerinnen. Danach steigern wir unsere Touren von Montag bis Freitag, von der eingangs Halbtagesauf die eher anspruchsvolle Tagestour. Auch unsere Bergfahrten werden wir von 400 bis auf 900 Höhenmeter anheben. Natürlich sind unsere Biketouren auch E-Bike geeignet. Gerne stellen wir euch dafür unsere Bikes vom Tauernhof zur Verfügung. Jedoch bietet unser Bikekeller auch Platz zum Einstellen eurer mitgebrachten Bikes.

On Wednesday, we start with a leisurely “ warm-up tour” of around 2.5 hours and 400 altitude metres as well as an ability check of all participants. Monday to Friday, we increase the duration of our tours from the half-day tour at the beginning to a challenging full-day tour. Our mountain tours will also increase from 400 to 900 altitude metres. Our bike tours are of course also suitable for E-bikes. We are happy to make our Tauernhof bikes available to you. But our bike cellar also offers plenty of space for storing your own bikes.

Am Donnerstag lassen wir uns bei der Sunset-Almpartie mit rustikalem Abendessen und schwungvoller Musik verwöhnen. Nicht zu vergessen ist die Kräuter- und Erlebniswanderung zu den Riesacher Wasserfällen, die für ihr belebtes Wasser bekannt sind. Wieder zurück im Tauernhof stellen wir in der Küche unseren eigenen Kräutersirup her.

We treat ourselves to a hearty dinner and lively music during the Sunset Alm Party on Thursday. Not forgetting the herb and adventure hiking tour to the Riesach Waterfalls which are known for their powerful waters. Back at the Tauernhof, we make our own herbal syrup in the kitchen.

Zwischen dem Rahmenprogramm bieten wir euch die Möglichkeit zu einem Beachvolleyball- und Badmintonspiel, aber auch zu einer Runde Nordic Walking. Karin begleitet euren Körper und Geist bei einer Kultivierung im Chi Gong und Personal Trainerin Martina fordert zu einem sportlichen Work Out heraus. Auch das gesunde Schwitzen in der Ladiessauna und eine Aromaölmassage von Conny stehen am Wochenprogramm. Die Hüttentour zum Ennslehen Hans steigert wieder den Spaßfaktor.

Outside the main programme there are facilities to play beach volleyball and badminton but also the possibility to go on Nordic Walking tours. Karin accompanies you when teaching your body and mind the art of Chi Gong and Martina as personal trainer challenges you to a sporty workout. Healthy sweating in the ladies sauna and a massage with essential oil by Conny are also part of the week programme. The tour to the hut of the Ennslehen Hans increases the fun factor again in between.
