How to Get Involved
Harpeth Hall Parents Association The Harpeth Hall Parents Association (HHPA) comprises all parents and guardians of Harpeth Hall students and fosters a connected community to support all aspects of the Harpeth Hall mission through community events, support of faculty and staff, and fundraising. HHPA Volunteers Consider sharing your time and talents by chairing or joining one of our many HHPA committees or becoming part of the Dads Network. The Harpeth Hall website and the student handbook and directory include HHPA information. Visit the current families page on the Harpeth Hall website for a list of HHPA committees. The HHPA sends a volunteer survey to parents in advance of each school year. Bear Necessities Store (BNS) Volunteer to work at the Bear Necessities Store. The school spirit store is open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Friday during the school year when school is in session.
Admission Preview Day The Office of Admission and Financial Aid hosts its annual Admission Preview Day in November for prospective students and their families. Visitors tour campus, meet faculty, administrators, and students to learn more about Harpeth Hall. Parent volunteers are essential to the success of this event.
Volunteer for The Annual Fund Each year, Harpeth Hall parent volunteers ask parents in each grade to make a tax-deductible contribution to The Annual Fund. Harpeth Hall seeks 100% parent participation in The Annual Fund with a gift of any size. HHPA EVENTS A complete list is available on the current families page on the website. Join the Harpeth Hall Parents Association group on Facebook. Fall Kick-Off Coffee The HHPA hosts the kick-off coffee each fall. Parents are invited to hear from the HHPA president and learn more about volunteer opportunities. Sunday on Souby Sunday on Souby is Harpeth Hall’s community fall festival presented by the HHPA and the Head’s Young Alumnae Council (HYAC). It brings together past, current, and new families, as well as extended family, alumnae, and neighbors. This free annual event is an opportunity to come together as a community and enjoy student entertainment, carnival inflatables, games, and food. Numerous parents volunteer to help. The Main Event The Main Event is the largest annual fundraiser hosted by the Harpeth Hall Parents Association. This community-building event is held each spring. The theme changes each year and typically includes a dinner, entertainment, and an online auction. The 2020 Main Event featured the Museum of the Moon by Luke Jerram and 2021’s drive-thru event included bluegrass music, gourmet take-home meals, and an opportunity to support our nonprofit partner, The Nashville Food Project. There are many Main Event sub-committees. Sign-ups will begin in the fall. The Main Event provides funding in support of innovative teaching and learning in and out of the classroom.
Dads Network The Dads Network is responsible for planning fun events and service projects for daughters and their dads or special friends. The group builds community throughout the year among Harpeth Hall dads.
