HAA Summer FAQ’s:

As Summer approaches and the weather FINALLY warms up, now is the time when HAA receives a lot of questions regarding lessons during LPS’ summer break. Check out the answers to our most frequently asked questions. Q: Does HAA have lessons throughout summer? A: Yes! Lessons occur year-round at HAA including during the summer months. We also have group classes and camps occurring during the summer. To sign up for a summer class, click HERE. Please note, we are CLOSED the following days: May 28th (Memorial Day) & July 2 - July 7th (4th of July break). Be sure to check out our free make-up classes that are available for students to attend as well! Q: Do instructors’ schedules change in the summer? A: Not necessarily. Unless the office has notified you of a change, your teacher’s schedule will remain the same. If you would like to see if your instructor has different availability in the summer please check with the front desk. Note that if you switch time slots, you are not guaranteed your original time slot once the school year starts back up again. Q: My family is taking a vacation and will be gone for a couple of weeks during the summer. Can my student take a break and then come back once we are back in town? A: Yes. However, if you would like to hold your same time for when you return, it is best to continue paying for lessons during your absence. You can also submit a “Leave of Absence” form that will take you off of the schedule and ensure you do not get charged for the time that you are gone. Please note that the “Leave of Absence” form must be submitted at least 30 days prior, and when you return you will be charged an administrative fee ($20) upon registration. Your time slot is not guaranteed to be available when you return if you submit a “Leave of Absence.” Q: I know there is a Fall Recital and a Spring Recital...but is there a Summer Recital? A: There sure is! The Summer Recital is our “Anything Goes” Recital. Do you have a special talent that you want to share with your HAA Family? Maybe you can do special hula-hoop tricks? Or do spot-on impersonations? Anything goes at the “Anything Goes” recital and we want to see what you or your student have hidden up your sleeves! This years’ “Anything Goes” Recital will be on July 21st. Be sure to look out for email communication to sign up for the summer recital! Still have questions? Feel free to call us at 402-423-7121 or send an email to Michaela at office@harrisacademyofthearts.com with any other questions you may have!
