However, 75% of children who live in homes with guns know where they are stored.” • Gun trigger locks provide an added layer of security, but should not be relied upon in place of a locked safe. • Ammunition should be stored separately from the guns, also in a locked container. Education and training on the safe storage and handling of firearms is available throughout our area at local gun shops, firing ranges and at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
