TEAM PANASONIC CITYNOW George Karayannis | Executive Director George’s team helps utilities define smart city strategies and implement innovative new products and services for their municipal and real estate developer customers. Previously, George led Schneider Electric’s smart city team and Lockheed Martin’s smart grid team, and his background is in emerging technologies and complex systems.
Jarrett Wendt | Executive Vice President Jarrett is charged with leading Panasonic’s Smart Cities initiative CityNOW leveraging the strengths of Panasonic’s history in smart and sustainable solutions, including solar, battery storage, microgrids, mobility solutions, healthcare. He also leads corporate partnerships for Panasonic providing large-scale solutions. Jarrett created Panasonic’s Connected Vehicle business, signing the largest CV contract in US DOT history with Colorado Department of Transportation.
Crissy Fanganello | Director, Mobility Crissy focuses on public sector customers: cities, counties, regional entities, transit agencies and providers. Crissy develops strategic and programmatic direction to ensure alignment across complex customer stakeholder groups, improve safety and mobility for customers and leads forward thinking asset management strategies and appropriate valuation of the public right of way.
Alan Gotcher | Sr. Architect, Energy Storage Kjell Persson | Vice President Kjell Persson leads the Panasonic CityNOW team. He started to work with Panasonic CityNOW in 2015, then being the CEO of inUse, a leading service design and user experience design consultancy company in Europe, with 100 employees in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmo in Sweden, branching out to Denver, CO based on the partnership with CityNOW. Kjell became the company’s CEO in 2012, and has advised inUse since it was founded 2003.
Alan is responsible for creating and building CityNOW’s Energy Storage business and Energy Storage product development and delivery for utility, C&I and residential markets. He has a proven track record in product and business development having lead public and private company teams to design, build, monitor and operate over 44 battery power plants providing 275+ MWs of power for micro-grids to Utility companies, IPPs and C&I customers in the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal.
TEAM PANASONIC CITYNOW Peter Jacobson | Project Manager, Developers
Yun Lee | Director, Solar Yun is responsible for all solar related services including, energy consulting, implementation, operations and management. Since 2006, Yun has managed the design of hundreds of systems increasing in size and complexity culminating in a 400MW utility scale PV portfolio. He most recently held senior engineering positions at DNV GL and SunEdison, where he became proficient in energy modeling, PV plant design, and design management in his efforts of delivering utility scale PV projects
Peter leads the CityNOW Developer Services that deliver cuttingedge and transformational outcomes in the built environment. Peter has previous experience as an energy engineer and commissioning agent, which has developed his expertise in sustainability master planning, LEED consulting, energy modeling, renewable energy, microgrids, energy storage, water re-use, building commissioning, and intelligent control systems.
Dexter Gauntlett | Sr Manager, PGE and Utilities Dexter leads CityNOW’s Smart City Utility Advisory Services, to deliver transformational smart city offerings across distributed energy resources, mobility, decarbonization, and social equity. Dexter has 15 years experience working at the nexus of cleantech, IoT, water, and utilities in the US and overseas. He previously led Navigant Research’s custom research division and has directed more than 50 market research and strategy engagements with leading utilities, Fortune 500’s, startups, and investors.
Chris Gustafson | Sr Manager, Quality & EHS Project planning and execution for optimal stakeholder and key partner outcomes. Experienced in the public and private sector for delivering high quality projects for long term operations and reliability. Key stakeholder relationship development and maintenance to ensure project front end goals are succinctly defined and successful roll out and completion of complex products is achieved.
Harris Kalofonos | Project Manager, COS Harris is relationship architect. He responsible for all smart city initiatives for Olympic City USA (Colorado Springs). Prior to joining Panasonic Harris worked at five Olympic Games and has see first hand city level transformations. Harris is a ULI member and has founded a youth Olympic education program. His extensive Olympic experience and branding background is a key asset for customer relationships and sharing the story of CITYNOW.
