Sunday 3 July | 2pm | Spiegeltent Programme highlights include: Satie | Gnossienne No.1 Glass | Etude No.16 Piazzolla | Chau Paris Nyman | A Neat Slice of Tango Born in Argentina, pianist and composer Silas Bassa began his studies at the age of five, moving to Buenos Aires to study at the Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Musica with Aldo Antonganzzi from the age of 18. Silas currently resides in Paris taking lessons with Monique Deschaussées and continues to perform worldwide. In addition to mastering the traditional core piano repertoire, Silas is developing a reputation as a talented composer, working with a variety of different directors and choreographers across a range of mediums. His beautiful playing is brought to the Spiegeltent this year where he creates a fascinating world, simultaneously both very modern and resolutely timeless with an eclectic programme featuring works from Satie, Duckworth, Piazzolla and Nyman.
