ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Semester 3, Year 2

The Academy of fine arts and photography was designed to promote art and photography which are usually considered as mere hobbies. The viewing gallery is located between the institution and kukkrahalli lake, Mysore, where the student’s works are displayed. This helps one get inspired and reconnect with nature standing on the viewing deck, overlooking the serenity of the lake and the mountains.

NEIGHBORHOOD CENTRE

Semester 3, Year 5

A place where people from different age groups come to interact, work, and relax. Sharing insights and experiences are the start of ideas and this neighborhood center is all for it. Different programmes are spread and arranged to keep the complete site busy throughout the day. Even though the programmes are different from each other, activities provided within the site glue them together. The ramp connects all the main activities in the site.

To break the social gap between different programmes on the site appropriate activities were introduced in the buffer space, which both user groups would keenly be interested in. Between the clubhouse and office, a basketball court and other sports activities were added as both the user groups are mainly young adults. And between the office and the auditorium, a restaurant and library was designed to encourage interaction between different groups of people

RESILIENT CITIES DELHI Gsen 2019

Is it possible for a jam-packed city to accommodate a large influx of population? What have we been doing wrong? How do we make amends? The chosen site is located adjacent to one of the longest river turned into drain into Delhi- Najafgarh Drain. Reviving the lake and fixing the ecosystem was the main priority.

The hub is designed to collect waste the passes through it in the water with the help of wire meshes. These waste bottles and cans are recycled and reused or sold to help the community. The hub is a mini floating flower bed where people come to relax and interact. At a raised platform, to avoid flooding a deck and farming land is designed to bring back the destroyed ecosystem and also to help the community be self-sustaining.
