At the heart of a Waldorf education is the idea of learning through making and learning through movement. The art room and the auditorium, therefore, become the anchor point for the school and the rest of the program is organized around them. The concept of spiral learning is also important here, the process of learning, forgetting and then remembering.

Knitting:Architecture
knitting
: architecture :: sewing : engineering
The act of sewing is the act of attaching. The act of knitting is the act of creating a fabric, a system of stitches. The core of design is the same, the discipline depends on the scale and materials. Sewing is a kind of engineering, it is the details and how they fit together. Knitting is creating architecture, it is a system made up of smaller pieces connected but different in their pattern and direction.
