A Sign used for a Club tent - Similar to old fashioned travelling caravan fonts - Suggests the club may be exotic - Red and yellow lights draw your eye and show danger/passion - Very easy to read.

B Decorative neon for a breakfast van - Simple sans serif is easy to read - Red neon makes it more visible in any lights - Bold font choice

C Chalk board for a cafe -The style of the font is very Victorian and steampunk-esque making the product seem like it will be traditional. - The ‘C’ itself isn’t as ornamental as the other letters making it more readable as a letter form. - The chalk on blackboard adds to the traditional feel of the font

D In the Logo for the Festival - Looks almost like a 60’s hippie font - Bold to suggest the event is exciting - Effective as light colours on the dark green shadow pop out at you

E Welcome sign in the main arena - Mirrored finish provides an interesting effect combining the colours of the sky with the people coming through the gates - Font is a simple sans serif and therefore readable from long distances - Because of the mirrored finish the text is constantly changing and evolving as the festival goes on.

F Fish and Chips Food van - Distressed font looks like the effects of printing with a wood block type. - White on blue is reminiscent of the sea relating to fish - Distressed finish suggests it is old and therefore a traditional meal.

G Sign to lead to other places in the festival - Spray painted on with a stencil so it is bold and easy to read. - Burgundy lettering on a white background once again makes it more legible.

H Churros packaging - Script typeface - shows that the product is hand made and maybe artisan - The handwriting makes it seems like it will be sweet

I Independent Logo - Bold slab serif shows stability and trustworthiness - Red represents stability, strength and passion.

J Font used in Programme - Clear sans serif that is legible and readable - Very contemporary, perhaps suggests this is a contemporary festival.

K Clothes Shop Front - Hand written script - suggests unique merchandise as everyone’s handwriting is different - Also suggests that it is a friendly, approachable shop.

L WWW - Sans serif so it can be legible on the textured surface of the sheep’s side - Black is used to improve readability - Successful as it makes everyone want to take pictures of the sheep!

O Sign for an area - Used a symbol rather than a letter making it look very abstract - Looks like the sun, also the name represents the sun so this further backs the theme

P Sign for a Piano - Neon lettering reminiscent of that you would find in a bar. - Although script typeface suggests some class

Q Liquorice van logo - Bold and uneven - perhaps even hand rendered to represent the liquorice itself - Q is slightly illegible because the cross bar is tiny and could look like an O from a distance.

R Cabaret tent sign - Like a font you would find in a cabaret bar - Red is synonymous with passion - However font is slightly like a western movie font

S Shop sign - Hand painted typeface represents the handmade products - Slab serifs are mostly associated with westerns so the font choice seems wrong.

T Theatre sign - Neon and lights really effective in low light conditions - Font with lights like they would use outside an old fashioned theatre - Sans serif improves legibility

U Film and Music Tent - Condensed sans serif, very easy to read. - On backlit sign similar to what they used in old cinemas for the signs. - Slightly bland compared to the art deco surrounding.
