A Gathering of Men
MAY 17–19 David Hatfield, Jay Wade, Mitch Miyagawa, Gary Dillon In the complexities of daily living, relationships and work, we men can lose our sense of direction or purpose. Life transitions, parenting, challenging emotions or dull routines can leave us feeling dissatisfied, isolated or facing difficult questions. But codes of masculinity are shifting and men are learning how to move
past traditional ideas. By gathering together to explore who we are, and getting more real with ourselves and each other, we can discover what’s authentically important to us and find inspiration, resources, and support. All those identifying as men are welcome. Diversity is strength, men of diverse ages, races, sexual orientations, and viewpoints are welcome. Check haven.ca for price.
Get Real: Seeing Yourself, Experiencing Another MAR 20–24 Cathy McNally, Jennifer Hilton, Joann Byres, Graemme Brown As very young children we form beliefs about ourselves from the messages we receive from the key people in our lives. Unconsciously, we hold these as ‘truths’ which can significantly impact our self-confidence, how we live, how we experience and interact with others. In this program, through a range of experiences, you will gain a ‘real’ perspective on such ‘truths’ and update the messages and beliefs that no longer fit today. Key to this process is learning and practicing Direct Mirroring, which nurtures honest and open communication. igniting passion and aliveness
FEB 14–18 Sandey McCartney & David Raithby JUN 20–24 CrisMarie Campbell & Susan Clarke NOV 13–17 Sandey McCartney & David Raithby
AUG 4–8 CrisMarie Campbell & Susan Clarke
This program begins with an in-depth exploration of communication with a distinctly couples perspective. A variety of breathing and body-awareness experiences help build a foundation for connection and growth and couples then explore the ‘boundary-ing’ process — identifying and expressing wishes, wants and preferences — and examine the impact and possibilities of this self-definition for their relationship.
Passionate expression and healthy power struggle can help establish growth and acceptance – as individuals and as a couple. In this program couples work to identify and share personal characteristics, beliefs and behaviours, go beyond ‘good-bad’ judgments, and explore how these traits can be embraced to enhance relationship. $2250 ($2410) per couple + accom. & meals.

No other animal that we know does all these things, and with such aplomb! If you've always wanted to be a writer, or have ideas that are hard to express; if you're a student or have a job that requires communicative writing – you'll learn in this program, and in the process make discoveries about your very depths as a human being. $500 ($540) + accom. & meals.
