NOT ABOUT HEROES Stephen Macdonald’s acclaimed play chronicles the unique relationship that developed between two of the finest Great War poets; Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen. Interweaving extracts from diaries, letters and poems, the play paints a vivid and moving picture of the relationship between the two men, as well as the conflict that brought them together. Featuring a beautiful and haunting original score and two powerful central performances, the play is both exhilarating and uncompromising in its exploration of love, war and a friendship that changed the face of British poetry.
