(Columbia Pictures, 2013) Stunt foam mission backpack, as seen worn by Kitai as he attempts to retrieve the emergency beacon from the tail of the spaceship that broken apart during the descent into Earth’s atmosphere. Measures approximately 10 in. x 10 in. and includes five prop “Lipo Protein” packs that are seen contained inside the backpack when Kitai takes inventory of his supplies. 20. Original Concept Designs from Avatar.

[AVATAR]. (20th Century Fox, 2009) Computer generated designs of two Na’vis (perhaps Neytiri, Zoë Saldana’s character), a Thanator (a panther-like beast), an AMP (Amplified Mobility Platform) suit, and a human. The concept designs are marked as “Scale Reference Only. Not Final Design.” This indicates that the images are for size comparisons.

However, despite the “Not Final Design” disclaimer, we can see that the concepts are very close to what we eventually see in the final film version. Inkjet print on photographic paper measuring 13” x 19”.

Vertical crease mark along the center with some emulsion cracks. Otherwise, still in good condition.

46. Signed Photo Album, Atlas, Script & Telescope Crew Gift from Master and Commander. [MASTER AND COMMANDER: THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD]. (20th Century Fox, 2003) This lot includes an exclusive collection of Master and Commander memorabilia, including a limited edition “H. M. S. Surprise Ship’s Log” photo album that contains exclusive behindthe-scenes cast and crew photos. A signed photo of Russell Crowe in character as “Captain Jack Aubrey” is included in the album. The cover of the album is made of leather and wood from the Kauri tree, a protected native tree from Australia.

Only recycled timber (or that which has fallen and is found preserved in swamps) can be used for building, furniture and crafts. The hull of the ship built for film was made from the Kauri. Also included in this lot is a hardbound world atlas, entitled The Far Side of the World, with signatures of the director, Peter Weir, and producers, Todd Arnow, Alan B. Curtiss and Duncan Hendersen.

In addition, a production-used script and a leather-bound scope measuring 15 1/2 inches when fully extended are included. The scope is wrapped in leather with the letters, “T.F.S.O.T.W.” From the personal collection of Anthony Almaraz, who was a costumer on the film. Fine condition.

[STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT] (Paramount, 1996) Measuring 44 in. x 29 in. in size, this panel was created as part of the full scale Enterprise E Deflector Array set, which is seen in a memorable space battle between Picard and Worf against the Borg, who had modified the Deflector Array in an attempt to contact the Hive.

The panel has been installed in a custom built light box that illuminates the panel. The light box measures 36 in. x 51 in. x 13 in. Fine condition. This lot requires special shipping arrangements.

Cale.” It remains in excellent condition, save for a slight pen mark on the leather side of the band. The other watch shows clear signs of heavy usage with scuffing on the face. This lot comes directly from the production studio, and includes a plastic carry case marked, “Cale.” These watches were used by Cale as played by Channing Tatum.
