ASHKAL
Ashkal (Naveed Akhtar) was born in Thatta
Sindh, Pakistan in 1970. Ashkal is a painter, an expert art restorer, a fine art photographer, art scholar, a filmmaker, TV anchor, Founder President of The Visual and Performing Arts Forum Pakistan (NGO), and CEO Ashkal's Fine Art (Pakistan). His paintings exhibitions have been showcasing since 1992. Ashkal says that his art grows out of his love of learning about the world, its people and diverse cultures.
Not content to simply sit and paint what is close at hand, Ashkal has travelled widely, and with a lively curiosity, interprets the essence of people in planes, angles and perspectives that embrace the ancient and
modern.
