Chairperson’s Message
84th & Holdrege Street
by Molly Johnson
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! The Remodelers Christmas party was held at the Grand Manse, the tour of the penthouse following lunch was ver y impressive. We collected 49 pairs of gloves, 25 hats and 4 sets of hat/scarf/gloves for elementary students. The Dolls of HBAL vs. Toys with Wheels was a success once again this year. The toys were distributed to Voices of Hope, Family Service and the Center for People in Need. All of the organizations expressed their gratitude for our contributions. Thank you for all you do to make these great projects a success! I am so excited for my new role as the chair of the Remodelers Council. For years I have enjoyed being an active member and I’m thankful for the opportunity. This year’s theme for the Remodelers Council is “Rebuilding Remodelers.” We have three basic goals we hope to achieve with the help of our members. We want to increase our Remodelers membership, increase our member attendance at our monthly lunch meetings and increase our member recognition for all of their hard work and support. Our first meeting in 2012 will be on January 11th at the Northern Lights Hy-Vee located at 84th and Holdrege. Becky Guittar, Hy-Vee Wellness Coach, will be our guest speaker for the lunch meeting. She will be discussing healthy eating and exercise tips to help jump start everyone’s New Year’s resolutions! I look forward to a great year!
