Chairperson’s Message by Rick Willet
Well, here I am, writing my first “Chairperson’s Message” and doing exactly what I imagined: struggling on what to say. You will have to bear with me as this is not my strong suit. First of all, I would like to thank Pam Magner for the past year of service she put in with her well-written letters and inspiration. She will be a hard act to follow. This time of year brings a lot of excitement and joy to us as we celebrate Christmas. I am so thankful for many things, but most of all, I am thankful for what Christmas is about. The fact God sent his own son to be born so many years ago. To live as a man, and then to die on the cross for forgiveness of our sins, so we can have a relationship with God. No greater love has ever been shown to me, a lost sinner. Now we have the opportunity to show love towards others by our generosity, gifts and friendly support to those in need. Thanks to all who donated hats, mittens and gloves for our elementary schools. It was a great time at the Christmas party at Venue. The room was filled and the food was great. Fun was had by all trying to unwrap the gifts in the Saran Wrap balls. Try that one for the kids if you want to keep them busy for a while. I hope you are all having an excellent year business wise. The forecasts I have been hearing are for a very positive year for 2018 with remodeling remaining high. This is a great opportunity for each of us to serve the Lincoln area with a high level of professionalism so we can support Lincoln in remaining one of the best places to live.
