AARP TAX-AIDE Tuesdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Wednesdays, noon – 4 p.m. Registration required. The taxman cometh, and AARP is sending a little help your way. AARP tax-aide volunteers provide free income tax assistance for low- and middle-income people. Each appointment lasts approximately 45 minutes. Participants need to bring their 2018 tax returns and 2019 tax documents to the center.

BUNNY HOP “EGGS”TRAVAGANZA Wednesday, 10 a.m. – noon Deadline to register is Fri., April 3. All preschoolers 4 and younger are invited to participate in fun-filled activities, including a visit with the Easter bunny. A parent or adult must accompany children.

HOW TO USE YOUR SMARTPHONE Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Registration required. If you own an iPhone, Galaxy, LG, HTC, or any other smartphone and want to learn more about its features and capabilities, sign up for this informative workshop.

MAY 20 SAVE A LIFE, LEARN CPR Wednesday, 9 a.m. Registration required. Ages 14+. Course includes CPR, first aid, AED defibrillators, and choking for adults, children, and infants. The two-year certification fee is $25. Note: This course is not for health care professionals.

SENIOR HEALTH AND FITNESS DAY Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Registration required. Deadline to register is Fri., May 22. Join us for fun activities that support an active and healthy lifestyle. Activities include exercise, nutrition, and brain stimulation.

AARP SAFE DRIVING Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Registration required. Deadline to register is Fri., May 22. Reduce your car insurance by as much as 10% by completing this course. The required course fee for AARP members is $15 with proof of membership and $20 for non-members. This class cannot be used for ticket dismissal.

JUNE 11, 18, & 25 FUN4KIDS SUMMER PROGRAM Thursdays, 1 p.m. Registration begins Fri., May 1, at 8 a.m. Additional Fun4Kids dates July 9, 16, 23, & 30!

Children of all ages are welcome to attend free, fun-filled summer activities. A parent or adult must accompany children younger than 18.

FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY FOR CHILDREN Tuesday, 10 a.m. Registration required. Ages 4 - 10. Tom Petty, the senior inspector with the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, offers fire and life safety information for children.

MANAGING DIABETES Tuesday, 10 a.m. Registration required. This program discusses the types of diabetes, the health consequences, and strategies for preventing or managing the disease for greater overall health.
