POND STUDIES Monday, 10 a.m. – noon Registration required at www.hcp4.net/ tap/events. Ages 7+. Join a naturalist for an afternoon of dipnetting and pond ecology. Learn what lives in Marshall Lake and how we use lab equipment to determine the quality of our water.

FAMILY FISH CAMP Saturday, 8 a.m. – noon Registration required at www.hcp4.net/tap/events. Experts will discuss basic fishing gear, knot tying, rules, and ethics. Then, practice what you’ve learned. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a lunch, camp chairs, and refillable water bottle. Fishing equipment available to borrow on a first-come, firstserved basis.

THIRD TUESDAY BIRDING Tuesdays, April 21, May 19, and June 16, 7:30 a.m. Join Houston Audubon Society volunteers for a monthly bird count. Binoculars and walking shoes recommended.

SUMMER CAMPS

Registration required beginning Friday, May 1, at 8 a.m. at www.hcp4.net/kmp. Spend the summer learning about nature during action-packed day camps at Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve. This camp is outdoors 100% of the time. Campers should bring a snack, a lunch, and a refillable water bottle. Bring proof of child’s age (birth certificate, shot records, etc.) to the first day of camp. Please only register if your child can attend all days of camp.
