Tuvo lugar el VI Congreso MIR Colegio San José, llevado a cabo por alumnos de 3º de Secundaria bajo la dirección de sus profesores Mª Isabel Cano, Doctora en Biología Molecular y Álvaro Garrido, Grado en Biología y Máster en Diversidad Biológica y Medicina. Cada año, a través de la asignatura de Biología, los alumnos se convierten en investigadores científicos exponiendo sus correspondientes conclusiones. Las investigaciones llevadas a cabo por los alumnos durante el curso han culminado en un congreso de dos días de duración, con presentaciones orales intercaladas con sesiones de pósteres, este año bajo el tema “Farmacología y Tecnología aplicada a la Salud”. Fue clausurado con la conferencia “El sistema inmunitario, el sistema casi perfecto. Tratamientos biológicos”, a cargo del Dr. D. José Marcos García Balboteo, Director del Centro de Salud de Estepona Oeste del Servicio Andaluz de Salud.

The Director of Corporate Development at Andalusia Loyola Univer- sity Dr. Francisco José Pérez Fresquet gave the talk “The future as a meeting place.”
After the conferment of the school’s emblem, Ms. María Francisca Álva- rez Núñez, Academic Director, closed the event with a few words followed by the singing of the university hymn “Gaudeamus Igitur” performed by the school choir.
VI Colegio San José Residente Medical Intern Congress
The VI Colegio San José Resident Medical Intern has taken place, carried out by 3rd year Secondary pupils led by their teachers María Isabel Cano, Doctor in Molecular Biology and Álvaro Garrido, Graduate in Biology and holder of a Master’s in Biological Diversity and Medicine. Each year, through the subject in Biology, the pupils become scientific researchers by outlining their corresponding conclusions.
The investigations carried out by pupils during the year concluded at a congress that lasted for two days, with oral presentations interspersed with poster sessions, this year under the theme “Pharmacology and Technology applied to Health”. It closed with the talk “The immune system, the almost perfect system. Biological treatments”, by Dr. José Marcos García Balboteo, Director of the Health Centre in Estepona West of the Andalusian Health Service.
