Countdown begins for celebration at Valderrama of LIV Golf

The countdown has begun for lovers of the best international golf to enjoy the LIV Golf League 2023, whose only tournament stop in Europe will be held in San Roque, at the majestic Real Club Valderrama from 30 June to 2 July.

LIV Golf is an innovative championship that has the financial backing of Arab sheikhs with a different format to the usual. It includes both an individual and team competition, as well as lucrativeprizesthatsurpassthose of the PGA. Also, its CEO and commissioner is the Australian Greg Norman, one of the legends of world golf.

The circuit was created as an alternative to the DP World Tour (previouslytheEuropeanCircuit) and the PGA, and in 2023 it has fourteen tournaments in seven countries:eighttournamentsbased in the United States and six in Asia, Australia, and Europe, it is the only one on our continent that will be held in Valderrama from 30 June to 2 July. In the line-up of LIV Golf players, the Spaniards Adrián Otaegui, Sergio García, David Puig and Pablo Larrazábal stand out;. At each LIV Golf tournament there will be 48 players in 12 teams, three rounds without a cut and all the participants starting at the same time. The other major factor is the simultaneous individual and pairs competition at each tournament. Also, the prize is another of the important factors, with 25 million awarded at each tournament. The champion wins a figure of 4 million.
