Crystal Bowls Concert - Join crystal bowl musician Patricia Nielsen as she plays harmonizing music from crystal singing bowls that take listeners on a magical journey. Please bring a mat or towel and wear comfortable clothes. Crystal Bowls Concert & Educational Talk - Join crystal bowl musician Patricia Nielsen as she discusses the many health benefits of listening to crystal bowls. Then enjoy a relaxing concert as Ms. Nielsen plays harmonizing sounds and music from crystal bowls. Please bring a mat or towel and wear comfortable clothing. Dance to the Rhythm - Join instructor Wilda Santiago for an energizing dance & cardio class featuring music and rhythms from around the world. Kindness Rocks! - Relax while listening to music and painting rocks with positive messages or images. When you’re done, take your rocks with you to hide throughout the community. This random act of kindness will brighten the day of the stranger who finds your creation. Supplies provided. Make Video Game Music - Using the free website Beepbox, learn to compose and create chiptune music. Music & More from the Land Down Under - Go on a musical journey to Australia and beyond, with fast-paced rhythms and relaxing soundscapes from an assortment of didgeridoos and percussion instruments. This musical concert will also feature colorful stories and humor.

Music Box Mayhem - Transform your favorite songs into music box sheet music! Test your melody using our music box kits and learn how to build your own. Tampa’s Got the Blues - From the 1920s to the 1960s Central Avenue was an exciting place for musical entertainment. Many well-known blues and jazz artists played on the “Chitlin Circuit,” which included Tampa. Famous entertainers such as Tampa Red, Ray Charles, and others got their start right here. Celebrities like James Brown, B.B. King, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more performed on Central Avenue. Come hear their sounds and stories. Presented in partnership with the Tampa Bay History Center.

Learning Circles: The History of Rock Learning Circles are study groups for people who want to take online courses together, in person. This Learning Circle will meet for eight weeks to work through an online course called The History of Rock, Part One that explores the development of Rock, primarily in the United States. We will follow the story of how this rowdy first wave of rock and roll (1955-59) was tamed in the early ‘60s but came roaring back with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and then went psychedelic by the end of the decade.
