Product Photography Tips You don't have to buy expensive equipment to take high quality photos for your eCommerce website. Below you will find simple tips to take better product photos. KEEP IT SIMPLE A white background will draw attention to your product. It is a clean standard that is easy to replicate outside of a photo studio. You can buy an inexpensive backdrop, DIY your own with household items, or use a phone app to add a white background to cell phone photos.
CLEAN YOUR LENS Cell phone cameras offer a quick, convenient way to take and upload product photos. However, we often don't treat a cell phone as carefully as we would a camera. Phones spend plenty of time in pockets, purses and exposed to the elements. Before you take any photos, be sure to clean your camera lens with a soft lens cloth. A clean lens will give you a sharper image.
SHOW SCALE
Taking Photos for eCommerce Wednesday, September 6 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. At the Entrepreneur Collaborative Center FOLLOW LINK FOR INFORMATION
Use your product photos to demonstrate the size and scale of your product. This is especially important for clothing and jewelry to give the customer an idea of the fit of a product. Use a mannequin or a model to show the product "in action." If you use macro photography to show a small product, make sure to take a shot with a reference item to visualize the scale.
