Keynote Speakers Dr. Steve Albrecht is one of the country’s

leading experts on workplace and school violence prevention and on dealing with high-risk customers, taxpayers, and library patrons. His firm specializes in training, webinars, threat assessments, site security surveys, and employee coaching. He has spent over 17 years training library audiences around the country. His book, Library Security, was published by the ALA in 2015. He has written 21 books on business, security, and Law enforcement subjects.

Kent Roberts is the treasurer and Co-founder of the National Civility Center. The Center is funded through a variety of corporations and social entrepreneurial individuals.

The Civility Center serves as a fresh voice in the growing field of community building. Kent is author of two books Bring a Dish to Pass and Community Weaving. The work continues to expand and be a catalyst for innovative action within communities across the country.

Guest Presenters: years of experience in combat skills training, almost two decades in law enforcement, and is an Army veteran. She has been an innovator in the public safety field. She has developed supervisory and operational courses and teaches Defensive Tactics at the law enforcement academy. She has also served as a certified Bomb Technician and is currently the threat response coordinator for her agency’s Joint Operations Center for large scale special events.

Andrew Sanderbeck is a recognized expert presenter, coach and consultant for libraries and library organizations on management and leadership, customer service, mindfulness and self-care. He has presented at ALA, PLA, state, regional, and international conferences.

Tracy A. Daniels is a Master Level Practitioner and Behavioral Health Education trainer for the Pathways program with BayCare. Tracy conducts prevention trainings such as Mental Health First Aid certification training, Mental Health First Aid 101, parenting skills, domestic violence, sexual assault, diversity, stress management, conflict resolution, and communication.

Dress for Staff Day is casual.

Venue is self-park.

Coffee and light snacks will be served during the morning reception and afternoon break. Water service will be available all day in the reception area.

Lunch is from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. A list of suggested lunch locations is provided on the next page. There is not a lunch option inside of The Regent.
