JORDAN CRENSHAW
Senior Vice President of the Technology Engagement Center at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Jordan Crenshaw serves as the Senior Vice President at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Engagement Center, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the policy team. He leads the Chamber’s privacy working group, which consists of nearly 300 companies and trade associations, focusing on the development of model privacy legislation and principles. Previously, Jordan led the Chamber’s Telecommunications and E-Commerce Policy Committee, analyzing federal policies affecting U.S. businesses in areas such as privacy, cloud computing, broadband, internet, e-commerce, and broadcast. Before his tenure at the Chamber, Jordan practiced law with a focus on environmental issues and consumer privacy laws. His diverse professional background includes roles in the Virginia Senate leadership, the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia, the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Administrative Law Judges, and the National Right to Work Defense Foundation. Jordan holds both an undergraduate degree and a Juris Doctor from the College of William and Mary and is licensed to practice law in Virginia. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional. Jordan resides in Virginia with his wife, Molly, and their daughter, Charlotte.
DAVID NELEMS
CEO of the Don Ryan Center for Innovation David Nelems serves as the CEO of the Don Ryan Center for Innovation, spearheading initiatives to support the growth and success of new, early stage, and growing companies in Bluffton and the surrounding region. With a history of entrepreneurial ventures, David most recently held the roles of COO/CMO at Elongator Tailgates, a graduate of DRCI’s business incubator program. His entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of ActiveGroup, a privately-held company offering video-streaming services to the marketing research industry. Under his leadership, the company leveraged technology to enable Fortune 500 companies to conduct real-time focus groups remotely from 450 global locations, revolutionizing the industry. David established the company in 1999, achieving significant growth before its successful sale in 2007. Beyond entrepreneurship, David has diverse experiences, including serving as a pilot for Delta Air Elite and playing keyboard for a touring rock band. He holds a degree in human relations and aviation management from Georgia State University.
