Participants
Adventures Plus is dedicated to quality development and engagement of children and youth in partnership with families, schools and communities.
The school year program currently serves approximately 3,800 children at 23 elementary schools. In addition, an average of 2,600 students participate in a 10-week, all-day summer program, geared towards serving students entering kindergarten through seventh-grade.
Program Adventures Plus is a school-age care program designed to meet the needs of children and parents. The program offers a safe, creative environment for children in kindergarten through fifth-grade. Staff are intentional about planning high-quality curriculum and activities that include arts, crafts, drama, sports, reading, field trips, cooking, music, games, small and large group activities, science discovery, sensory and outdoor play. Adventures Plus encourages the enrollment of children with disabilities and strives to support their success.

*The Extended Day Levy and aid funds are designated to provide integrative services to students with special needs. Adventures Plus serves approximately 300 students, by successfully providing special needs assistance and services.

Challenges
Outcomes
The Adventures Plus program is faced with space and staff limitations, which makes us unable to serve nearly 600 families on wait lists.
Adventures Plus utilizes the Youth Program Quality Assessment, a validated instrument designed by the David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality, to annually measure program performance in four major domain areas including quality of relationships, youth voice and youth engagement. In addition, Adventures Plus regularly conducts student and parent satisfaction surveys and uses this data to continuously improve the experience for parents and students.
