KIDS BOOKS
Hello my name is Bill. I live in Kings Heath, Birmingham. I was born in a military hospital in 1942.
When I was a baby I travelled to Malta with my parents. The ship I was meant to be on to come back home sank. I wouldn’t be here today if I had been on that ship.
I used to go fishing with my father. Later in life I took my sons too.
How many fish can you see?
When I was young, my friends and I would go scrumping in gardens and steal apples.
If we were caught the policemen would give us a clip round the ear.
When I grew up my first job was on the old steam trains. I shovelled coal into the engines. It was hard work, very hard.
