GARSTANG ARTS CENTRE

August Exhibition

Graham Lowe makes a welcome return to the Arts Centre during August/September. Graham works with a wide range of painting media including soft pastel, oils, acrylic, gouache and watercolour. He lives and works in Lancaster and as well as an exhibiting artist he is also an art tutor, working with groups of all abilities. For this exhibition he has created a new body of work based on his numerous allotment sketches and photographs. All the paintings are in oil paint on canvas and document the changing seasons. He has also painted some of the interesting sheds and greenhouses in their various states of dilapidation. Graham’s exhibition runs from Tues 24th Aug to Thurs 16th Sept.

It’s really good that everything is opening up again and we’re getting back to normal. As we had only just got started as a club, it’s an ideal time for anyone who would like to come to join us. We’re planning to have our first meeting on the second Tuesday in September. The theme will be - ‘A Good Lockdown Read’. Hopefully we’ll all have lots of ideas to share. We’ll be emailing the group nearer the time. In the meantime enjoy your reading.
