Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving
Over the last two years our lives have been turned upside down by the Covid pandemic. Many of us have lost loved ones in a time when we were unable to gather with family and friends. Others have lost vital contact with loved ones. The difficult economic situation has resulted in many other losses including jobs, businesses and homes. Many of us are still feeling fragile and uncertain in these times, especially as the Christmas season approaches. Pilling Methodist Church is holding a special service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance on Sun 5th Dec at 3:00pm. This service will offer time to remember those who have died. The many other losses we have experienced over this time, there will be an opportunity to remember your loved ones through placing a bauble in their memory on our special tree of remembrance and thanksgiving. The service will be quiet and reflective as we recall how God comes to us through the birth of Jesus and offers peace and comfort to all who mourn and hope in times of uncertainty. If you feel this service may bring you comfort, then please do come and join us. The tree of remembrance will remain outside the church and you are invited to add to it over the Christmas season. The village carol service on Sun 19th Dec 6:30pm will conclude around the tree as we offer our prayers to God and sing our final carol (weather permitting), so please join us for this if you are able.

Village Carol Service
Join us on Sun 19th Dec at 6:30pm to celebrate Christmas with our village family carol service. This ecumenical event, led by Rev Sarah Lamb is for the whole family.
Christmas Eve Communion
Christmas Eve communion service in the Fellowship Room at Pilling Methodist Church led by Rev Sarah Lamb at 7:00pm on Tues 24th Dec.
Christmas Day Family Service
Morning family worship will be led by our own minister Rev Sarah Lamb on Christmas Day starting at 10:00am.
Village Carol Singing
Everyone is welcome to join the carollers as they spread festive cheer and raise money for the North West Air Ambulance.
We will meet up at the Pilling Methodist Church at 7:00pm unless otherwise stated. The dates are: Sat 11th, Fri 17th, Sat 18th,
Tues 21st, Thurs 23rd, and Fri 24th Jan
(at 7:45pm after the Communion service on Friday). Further details are available from John Savage on 01253 790707. You are welcome to join us for any or all of these events.
