Woodland Maintenance

Felling and pruning work is scheduled to restart on Tues 4th Jan.

Festive Switch-on

Stalmine’s Christmas lights switch-on event will this year take place on Mon 6th Dec at St James’ Church.

Planning Request

The council continues to seek information from Wyre Council, the planning authority, regarding figures relating to enforcement action against breaches of planning permission.

Dog Area Decision

As the council does not own land suitable for an enclosed area for exercising dogs off the lead, no action will be taken towards creating a facility similar to the one in Hambleton.

Footpaths Work

Public footpath signs in Stalmine are being installed or replaced according to specific needs. A sign making the route of the Wyre Way clearer has also been installed. Members of the public are advised that the route west, towards the marsh, does not provide access to the Wyre Way, only to privately owned property. The Wyre Way follows the tarmac road.

Clerk Vacancy Part Time – 10 Hours Per Week

Hours of work will be flexible and subject to workload and the parish council meetings’ schedule. Ideally, applicants will have prior experience as a parish council clerk. The successful applicant must be a first-class administrator with excellent communication and financial skills.
