Bob Williamson Park
The working group in November met to work on clearing drains of leaves and other debris from around the park. Many drains were covered in leaves and, in some cases, blocked up below the ironworks. Any that could not be cleared by the volunteers were reported to Lancashire County Council (LCC). Please over the coming months keep any drains around your property clear and if you do see a blocked drain report it to LCC, this can be done online or by ringing LCC on 0300 123 6780.
Roads
A new Speed Indicator Device (SpID) has been purchased by the Parish Council and erected on Marsh Lane. Early reports from the device are showing some vehicles travelling at very high speeds for a 30mph road. Please drive with care around the village. Thank you to the children of Hambleton Primary Academy for providing Road Safety posters for around the village and to Paul from Hambleton signs for reproducing the posters into signs.
