At Henley, we believe that the most meaningful insights come from learning by doing

4

All assignments are based on your own organisation At Henley we organise our teaching around real world dilemmas. Our Executive CBL is designed to benefit both you as an individual learner as well as the organisation you work for. Henley’s practical approach to learning emphasizes immediate application. You will learn how to think and act strategically to make an impact in your workplace. All subject assignments test your ability to apply the concepts you learn to a real situation, and you will be assessed on your mastery of bringing theory into practice – in your business context.

You will also be required to demonstrate insight and understanding through reflection on yourself as a leader and your own leadership challenges. You bring your experience and ideas. We bring global business management knowledge and cutting-edge concepts. Together we work to apply these to your world to understand the short and long term impact.

Collaborative Learning in Teams At the Henley Executive CBL programme, we believe in collaboration and discussion. This demands exceptionally high levels of interaction and peer group learning from all programme members. To facilitate collaborative learning as well as individual excellence, you will be placed in a small learning team supporting your learning outcome throughout the programme. Henley programme members come from a range of different industries with diverse skills, preferences and cultural orientations. This inevitably creates challenges for teams along the way, but at the same time allowing programme members to share knowledge and learn from each others’ experiences and perspectives.

How to study the Henley Executive CBL To make it possible for you as a busy manager to study an international management education, Henley organises the workshops to be delivered at our local premises in central Copenhagen. However the intro workshop takes place at Henley Business School (UK) West of London. Workshops take place approximately once a month as one or two full day study programmes – always on weekdays. The programme is taught in English.

The CBL programme tests understanding through practical application. To benefit both you and your organisation, you must complete three written business assignments – like consultancy projects – for your own organisation, two written personal development assignments and one leadership assessment. The CBL certificate will be awarded upon passing a 3-hour written exam.

This structure offers a rich blend of learning via face-toface workshops, work in learning teams, individual selfstudy and assignment writing.
