9/01/11 Dear Reader, Fugitive Alert is very excited to publish the first stand alone edition of this publication. As you may be aware all eight previous publications have been inserts in The Nickel. You may have noticed that the Fugitive Alert is actually an LLC or Limited Liability Corperation and therefore, privately owned.

Although the goal has always been to publish the paper as an stand alone effort, free of charge to the public, the Fugitive Alert is thankful for the support of the Herald and News and The Nickel and will continue to employ their services for printing and distribution.

Informational Press Release Addiction affects almost all aspects of our present lives. It comes in many forms and very few of us have not experienced the negative effects that addiction can have on our communities and in our personal lives. It may be from first -hand experience or the distress of watching a close loved one or relative selfdestruct because of their addictive habits. It may be in additional fiscal burdens on our justice system, hospitals and social services. The bottom line…addiction costs us all.

Transformations Wellness Center has been operating in the business of addiction treatment for the last four and a half years. We are a state licensed, Non-profit, 90-day, Residential and Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. We are located at 3647 Hwy 39, Klamath Falls, Oregon (across from Klamath Community College.) Our facility is composed of a large country home on 2.7 acres. The main hose serves as group counseling area, kitchen and dining area and living quarters for our female population. Male residents live and sleep in the men’s dorm building in back of the main house. The atmosphere at TWC has a more family than clinical feel.

We have a highly credentialed, competent and caring staff that strives to create that personal connection with each individual client. At our residential site we provide residential treatment and day treatment (individuals living off-site and

attending treatment during the day).

We have a mental health provider on staff allows us to serve individuals that have co-occurring mental health issues as well as substance abuse issues. Our treatment model incorporates various evidence based (clinically proven and excepted) treatment models. Also included is Twelve Step facilitation, Christian Twelve Step, Life Skills, Gender Groups and Meditation. In addition to 15 to 34 groups per week, individuals are encouraged to explore off-campus community support such as twelve step programs and spiritual programs such as Life Recovery Network and church.

We pride ourselves on our low client to counselor ratio which allows for more one on one contact with the clients. We offer indigent (no cost) bed spaces at ratio of approximately one indigent bed for every four self pay or insurance pay beds We are proud of the program that we have developed and our success with individuals that other agencies and programs had deemed “hopeless”.

TWC also offers a satellite outpatient program located downtown at 104 N 11th Street. This program offers a lower level of treatment based on the same evidence based practices incorporated at our residential facility. We also offer a DUII Diversion Program at this facility.

We also operate two transitional houses in town; one male house and one female house. These houses offer

a safe living environment for individuals to live while attending day treatment and after they have left treatment. The male house is operated in collaboration with Klamath County Community Corrections. This house offers a place for individuals beginning new life after they have paid the price for their engagement with the justice system due to their substance abuse.

TWC has formed partnerships with many agencies on a statewide and local level. Some of our local partners include Life Recovery Network, Lutheran Community Services, Alliance Behavioral Health, Klamath Falls Gospel Mission, OIT Applied Psychology Department, Klamath Open Door Family Practice and the Hope Community Center just to name a few. It takes partnerships such as these to stimulate the needed positive changes that our community so dearly needs. All of us together can make a difference in our world.

Remains found 10/23/2006 in Linn County, OR Race: White Height: Approximately 5’8” Sex: Male Weight: Unknown Age: 25-45 Hair: Unknown Eyes: Unknown Clothing: Gray “Sideout” brand tee shirt, black Dungarees denim pants, and “K-Air” shoes.

Details of Discovery: Victim was located in a wooded area of Santiam Pass. The victim is believed to have died between 2004 to 2006. Cause of death is not being released; however this case is being investigated as a homicide.
