Organizers cross their fi ngers and hope for good weather during Old Home Week, but two events will defi nitely be held rain or shine and there are contingency plans for others.
The unoffi cial opening begins on Center Square at 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, and the OHW program says, “No matter what the weather brings, this event will be held!”
Likewise, the Old Home Week photo will be taken on the Square at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, regardless of the weather.
Concerts in the Park are scheduled each evening at Jerome R. King Playground. Trinity Lutheran Church, 1186 Jason Drive, is the rain location.
The parade is supposed to begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11. If it rains, the parade will be rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 13, at 2 p.m.
A concert by the United States Navy Band Cruisers is planned from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, on the Greencastle-Antrim School District’s Kaley Field prior to the Old Home Week fi reworks at 9 p.m.
If it rains Friday night, the concert will be moved inside to the high school auditorium and the fi reworks postponed until Saturday, Aug. 13.
