GOLF
The 19th Green will be opening again on Friday, October 7th.
We are still in the process of getting the cutting heights back down to the regular greens so it will play a little slower. The sod on the expansions to the left, right, and rear of the green is not quite ready to be mown at greens height yet. We will be mowing it at a higher height for the rest of the fall and will cut it down to greens height in the spring. There are still a few thin areas on the green which will continue to fill in over the next couple weeks until growth really slows down due to the weather. We will evaluate the status of the green at that point and determine if a cover for the winter is warranted to ensure the green is ready to go in the spring.
We had to move approach aerification until next week due to the rain forecasted for Tuesday. Fairways core aerification will start on October 17th. Depending on weather it will probably take 1-2 weeks to complete all the fairways. Drill and Fill on the greens is scheduled for November 10th and 11th. As we get closer to those dates I we will update everyone on the availability of the golf course for those dates.
