Men's Miller Member-Member Saturday, July 30, 2022 9:00 AM Shotgun FORMAT: 2-Man Teams – 18 Holes Each player on the team will play their own ball on each hole. The team will record the combined points for the players and that will be the teams score on each hole.
Stableford Scoring (NET) -3 Points - Double Bogey or Worse -1 Point – Bogey 0 Points – Par 2 Points – Birdie 5 Points – Eagle 8 Points – Double Eagle FLIGHT PLAYOFF– After the final posting of scores. – All Flight Winners (including ties) will be in a Sudden Death Playoff on Hole #19 to determine the Member-Member Champion. The Stableford format will be used with no strokes. If there is a tie, we will continue this process until a winner is determined. TEEING GROUND: Blue Tees, White Tees (Age 70-74), Gold Tees (Age 75-up) HANDICAPS: Each individuals event handicap will be 100% of their current USGA handicap as of Friday, July 29. FLIGHTS: This is a Flighted Event. Based on the number of entries will determine the number of flights in the event using the teams combined handicap. LOCAL RULES: USGA Rules of Golf will govern play. Exceptions to these rules are listed on the Local Rules Sheet. Aerification Reminder: The golf course will be closed August 1st-3rd for aerification. Greens will be core aerified and topdressed on Monday and Tuesday. Tees and Approaches will be core aerified and topdressed on Tuesday-Thursday. Fairways will be solid tine aerified throughout the week. As soon as all green, tee, and approach aerification is complete we will start verticutting the fairways and aerifying the rough around the fairways. That will be followed by overseeding and topdressing. We are working on establishing more desirable grass species in both the fairways and roughs. The golf course will reopen for play on August 4th. Greens should be back to normal playing conditions by the weekend of the 13th .All dates are weather dependent, we will update the schedule as necessary. a message from your superintendent Despite the 4.6 inches of rain we received last night, the golf course is still firm enough to allow carts to go out today. The weather for the next 5 days is forecasted to be extremely hot and humid. We are going to take a very cautious approach to maintaining the golf course for the rest of the week. Mowing frequency will be reduced throughout the course which means the golf course will play a little slower. Once we get through this stretch of weather, normal conditioning will resume.
