Despite the weather we were able to get some aerification done last week while the course was closed. Greens were needle tined and lightly topdressed. Tees and approaches were core aerified and topdressed lightly. Fairways were solid tined. We went back on Friday and verticut, overseeded, and topdressed five greens that had suffered some damage over the past few weeks. Overall the turf has responded well to the aerification and we are happy with the results. There are a few areas throughout the course that did suffer some stress this past week, especially on tees and approaches. We expect most of this damage to recover when the weather breaks, but we will also be taking steps to get the turf healthy again. This week we will be overseeding and applying some more topdressing to the tees and approaches.
The step cut will be aerified, topdressed, and overseeded as well.
If the weather cooperates, we will also start the process of aerifying and overseeding the rough around the fairways.
e are still planning on verticutting and overseeding the fairways but that will probably not begin until the week of the 15th.
The golf course will be open for normal hours throughout these processes.

SWIM LESSONS
Swim Instructor Kathryn teaching Taylor, 3, how to swim using our American Red Cross Progessive Swim Instructor Program.
Progressive swim lessons for children ages 2 to 9 years old are now available with one of our American Red Cross certified lifeguards! Lessons are $30 for 30 minutes and billed through your member account.
