TPC Prestancia also features an expansive 12 acre practice facility with separate acres for long game, short-game chipping and bunker practice with champion’s turf putting greens, attended men’s and women’s locker rooms, and golf club storage. Our award-winning Golf Shop features an extensive selection of premium golf equipment from industry leaders such as Titleist, Taylor Made, and Callaway, along with offering manufacturer demo days, and a full time team of PGA professionals to fit your clubs and be of service. From shoes to sunglasses, hats, gloves, and everything in between, the professional Merchandising team can help you find what you are looking for to custom fit for your personal and gifts needs. Both of the courses are routed around natural wetlands, cypress heads, and numerous ponds and lagoons that are home to an abundance of wildlife. This natural setting and wildlife variety is the reason why TPC Prestancia has been a highly recognized award winning International Audubon Certified Cooperative Golf Sanctuary since 1998. OUR STORY - TPC PRESTANCIA Frequented by golf greats Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, and Chi Chi Rodriquez, TPC Prestancia has hosted eight (8) Chrysler Cup Tournaments and five (5) American Express Invitational Championships. Part of the Legendary Tournament Players Club Network, TPC Prestancia was created in 1985 with attention to aesthetics and balance to host the PGA Senior TOUR. Our team of six PGA professionals enjoy sharing their love of the game through instruction, tournament play, guest events and travel programs. A family friendly club, we boast a strong Player Development program and are ranked as one of the nation’s top women-friendly clubs.
THE STADIUM COURSE The Championship Stadium Course was inspired by TPC Network’s flagship course, TPC Sawgrass, allowing for gallery viewing along the hills and mounds lining the expansive fairways. Designed by Florida’s own Ron Garl and PGA player Mike Souchak, it plays 6,941 yards from the tips rewarding shot making more than length and features undulating greens that rise and fall as players approach the signature 9th and 18th holes. With seven tee options for gentlemen and five tee options for ladies this makes for a fun track.
THE PLAYERS COURSE The Players Course, formerly The Country Club of Sarasota, is a favorite classical country club design including Grand Oaks tree lines, doglegs and carry over water. Designed by the famed International Master Golf Course designer Robert Von Hagge, with PGA TOUR player Bruce Devlin as a consultant it is deemed by most as more challenging than the Stadium Course as it presents some target shots from the further tees. In the 2017-2018 season TPC Prestancia completed the multi-million dollar enhancement of the Players Course to provide championship playing conditions equal to the finest courses in the region. With new tee options offering a course that fun to play for golfers of all levels.
