We are excited to introduce Camp Palmetto Hall for Summer 2023! We are thrilled to be partnering with KE Camps to provide your children with the highest quality summer camp experience possible.
While large in scope with over 250 camps in 36 states, KE Camps is a family-owned operation. The KE Camps team (all of whom are “camp people” themselves!) is dedicated to infusing the warmth and spirit of a traditional summer camp experience into our club setting Ashley and Dan Schmitz, as well as the entire KE Camps team, look forward to passing on their love and passion for camp to your family this summer!
Camp Palmetto Hall will offer children ages 4 to 12 the opportunity to experience a variety of exciting and innovative programs within the familiar, safe, and beautiful grounds of our club. The small group size will provide a feeling of family for every camper Each week’s activity schedule will include a combination of Arts & Crafts, Fun with Foods, STEM Activities, Team Building, Super Science, Group Games, Wacky Wednesday and Friday Funday theme days, and Thankful Thursday community service projects. In addition, campers will participate in two golf sessions each week with the Palmetto Hall Country Club pros and will also enjoy a free swim period each day as well.
KE Camps is committed to providing a dynamic camp schedule, where campers will participate in a combination of athletic, creative, and educational activities – all while thriving in a supportive and encouraging environment. Beyond the activities offered, the inclusive atmosphere of camp allows each child to grow in confidence, independence, and social skills, implemented through the KE Camps’ Value System of SMILE.
Enrollment is flexible, so campers may sign up for as many weekly sessions as they’d like, half-day or full-day. Enrollment for the weeks of June 12, June 19, June 27, July 10, July 17, July 24, and July 31 is currently open to Club Members and NonMembers, providing the perfect opportunity to bring a friend to camp!
KE Camps pride itself on hiring a staff team with a strong passion for working with children in a camp setting. It is the goal of the camp director and counselors to make every camper feel welcome, successful and cared for every day. With an average staff-to-camper ratio of 1:6, you can be confident your child is fully supervised by a team of qualified adult professionals, all of whom will have undergone an extensive interview and training process Staff members will come from the local area and will look forward to getting to know you and your child this summer (more information to come as we get closer to the start of camp)!
Of course, we want to be sure that any questions you have regarding camp will be answered in a quick, friendly, and informative manner. Someone at the KE Camps office will always be available to answer your call or email (you can even chat with their team live via the KE Camps website). During the summer months, office hours will be extended so that any camp-related questions or concerns can be addressed as efficiently as possible.
KE Camps will dedicate a page of their website specifically to Camp Palmetto Hall. This will be a perfect place to access all the details about camp Enrollment and billing will be taken care of through KE Camps directly, via their website

We look forward to an enriching summer ahead, full of fun, friendship, and memories.
Rob Ciapanna General ManagerWe are very excited that we now have 15 artificial driving range mats. These will be of great benefit to us for a number of reasons. We chose these particular Mats for the real feel that they have, their durability, and their overall aesthetics.
These mats will help us in many ways with our range turf. We will be able to give our range turf a break during high use periods to
How often should we practice? Daily, weekly, … hourly? And what should we work on? And how much? Picking up on last month’s topic of mental practice, let’s take a look at some good tips on physical practice:
The amount of practice is dependent on the player, their goals, and their physical capabilities. It should also consider both the good and the bad. By this I mean if practice only focuses on what we really need to work on, the time spent could tend to become frustrating and negative While improving facets of our game, reward the tough work with positive and encouraging moments Sure bunker play is hard, and after some time working on it with limited improvement, step away and putt or chip, or pursue the part of practice you are good at to keep the passion alive. When ready, return to the more difficult aspects, maybe at another session altogether.
Also, treat each shot as an actual playing experience. Visualize the shot ( last month’s topic), involve your pre-shot routine, affect a practice swing, or two, and then commence the swing. “Raking balls” is a surefire way to get great exercise and little improvement. Each attempt should have the same commitment as the shots we take on the course As to the number of attempts, when the skill level has been sufficiently accomplished, then move to another skill But again, some days things just aren’t going to happen Recognize that time and step away to another facet or activity Don’t force the issue- poor habits, frustration, or potential injury could result.
Next month we will take a look at “The right tool for the job”.
Enjoy and keep playing!
