Nassau County is in the northeastern corner of Florida and is home to scenic rivers, meadows, farms and magnificent beaches. Known as the eastern gateway of the Sunshine State, Nassau County is truly a Florida treasure that has something for everyone.

AMELIA ISLAND/FERNANDINA BEACH

Located on the Georgia border about 30 minutes north of downtown Jacksonville, this Victorian seaport village was once a place for pirates, adventurers and shrimpers. This mesmerizing island was granted the nickname Isle of Eight Flags after eight national flags claimed ownership of the island. Residents can visit the oldest saloon in Florida in the historic seaside area of Fernandina Beach. The area is made up of many desirable neighborhoods and communities with many different highlights offering large pieces of land, cozy homes and sprawling estates. Several larger developments on the islands include Amelia Park and Amelia Walk.

CALLAHAN

If a small-town feel is more your style, Callahan may be the perfect community for you. Located in Nassau County, Callahan’s major industries are timber and agriculture, and is just a quick 20 minutes from downtown Jacksonville and very close to the Georgia state line. Callahan has a variety of homes including subdivisions, large properties and single-family homes. Callahan residents love spending time outdoors biking, fishing and hiking. HILLIARD
