Library Locations
The Jacksonville Public Library maintains a collection of approximately 3 million items, including books, audiobooks, e-books, compact discs, DVDs and videos. Internet service with wireless computer access and Microsoft software is available on all public computers at all library locations. Books are also available in large print at all locations. Please check your local library, since quantities vary. Duval County residents, individuals who own property in Duval County, students at a college located in Duval County, City of Jacksonville employees, Florida military personnel and Duval County Public School teachers can obtain a free Jacksonville Public Library card with proof of address and proper ID. About JTA: Jacksonville Transportation Authority operates a system of buses, trolleys and shuttles that serve Jacksonville and the beaches. The Skyway, an automated monorail system, provides transportation in Downtown Jacksonville, between the Prime Osborn Convention Center and Rosa L. Parks Transit Station on the Northbank, San Marco and Kings Avenue Station across the St. Johns River. Fare Information: The fare for buses, trolleys and Community Shuttles is $1.75 per trip, complimentary for ages 65 and older–with a Senior STAR Card–($.50 deviation fee may apply on Community Shuttle vehicles); express buses are $2.75, complimentary for ages 65 and older. Anyone over the age of 65 will receive complimentary travel on JTA buses, trolleys and community shuttles. A STAR Card is required for any senior wishing to receive complimentary rides. Duval County Tax Collector’s Office
