DESCRIPTION 25th Anniversary + Exhibit + Open House We combined our 25th anniversary celebration of HFA with an open house to reveal our newly-designed LEED-CI Gold headquarters to the public and our clients. This event included attendee interaction through votes on design concepts created by HFA employees in a special 25th anniversary challenge. The entire campaign emerged from a brainstorming session on how to celebrate the 25th anniversary. It was decided the event would be by invitation and would be open to clientele, local dignitaries and staff members and their guests to participate in the 25 Ways to Impact the World through Design exhibit.

CHALLENGE As part of the 25th anniversary celebration and open house, HFA integrated an interactive feature, the 25 Ways to Impact the World through Design challenge. This not only included staff involvement, but it also involved the clients and other open house attendees by allowing them to vote for winners among the top 25. The competition showcased the talents of our employees while drawing clients and dignitaries into the essence of HFA – design.
VISION Our employees offer a wealth of talent, and the 25 Ways challenge was intended to showcase that talent while offering ideas to improve lives in a variety of ways. The competition was intended to show clients and others how creative and forward-thinking our staff can be. We also wanted to bring open house attendees into an interactive experience.

This concept involves the design of a modular paving system that can harness the power of pedestrians and vehicles that pass through the intersection each day. The paving system will also be integrated with an LED lighting system to ehance pedestrian safety and save lives. This simple design will provide a sustainable power source for the roadway lighting in our cities. It can be easily installed at any intersection and RPM provide immediate power and a safer crossing for our pedestrians.

25th Anniversary Open House & Exhibit
For the Open House, we wanted to celebrate our 25 years in business and showcase our new LEED-CI Gold corporate headquarters designed by the HFA staff. The 45,000-square-foot space previously held a National Home Center and needed remodeling before we could move in. The space was redesigned in-house, from the interior design to the electrical and mechanical systems, making it a true showpiece for the company.
25th Anniversary Open House & Exhibit
25th Anniversary Open House & Exhibit
From Concept to Design to Impacting our Lifestyle During the open house, the votes were counted and the top three winners were announced. The winning entry, “Four Day Work Week”, designed a program for the employees based on current trends. The winning entry not only won $1000 prize, but it served as inspiration for what would become HFA’s “Balanced Lifestyle” program. A twelve week test during the summer of 2015 yielded good results, and the program became permanent in September 2015.
Our new Balanced Lifestyle Program allows for each employee to have the ability to customize their work schedule outside of the office core hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Friday attendance is determined based on meeting the weekly goal of 40 hours and on the ability to service our client’s and team needs.
