CODE OF CONDUCT

Participating teams have a responsibility to continuously minimise the risk of transmission of Covid-19 by adhering to this Code of Conduct.

The teams’ behaviours, and the extent to which they adhere to guidelines and standards, have a direct impact on the risk of Covid-19 transmission and can directly and indirectly contribute to the viability of Tour matches taking place.

KEY CONDUCT AT ALL TIMES

• Comply with all current World Health Organisation (WHO) and local government and/or health authority requirements, as well as all SA

Rugby/Lions/MAG guidance, regarding Covid-19 when travelling.

• Comply with any screening or testing requirements as outlined by

SA Rugby/Lions/MAG and match venues.

• Provide contact details in order to assist with any potential track and trace protocols.

• Observe the relevant social distancing protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in accordance with the requirements set out.

• If moving through busy or crowded areas, try to wait for your access route to be clear, and always follow signage and venue instructions.

• If you feel ill, contact your Covid-19 team lead as soon as possible and follow their instructions.

• Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, including washing your hands regularly, using hand sanitiser, avoiding touching your face and any high-contact points in all venues, such as door-knobs and hand-rails.

• Observe good respiratory etiquette, as set out by WHO guidelines.

• Avoid all unnecessary contact with other persons, such as handshakes, hugs, high-fives, etc.

• Remain responsible for the disinfection and cleaning of your own equipment in line with WHO cleaning guidance.

CONDUCT AT MATCH VENUES

• Comply with any screening or testing requirements as outlined by Lions/

SA Rugby and the match venue.

• Provide contact details in order to assist with any potential track and trace protocols.

• When circulating in the match venue, use any one-way streams as set out by the match venue.

• Wear the required accreditation at all times while on site.

• Do not enter any area of the match venue unless accredited and essential for the fulfilment of your role.

• Follow all instructions given by the match venue organisers.

• Comply with all changes to normal operating procedures as outlined in the individual match venue-specific Covid-19 Event Safety Plan.

• Leave the match venue as soon as practicable after completing their work.

CONDUCT IN TEAM CAMP ENVIRONMENT

• Avoid mixing with members of the public or going into any public areas of the hotel where social distancing and good hygiene cannot be practised.

• Do not invite or bring any guests into the team hotel.

• Guests’ contact details will be made available to the Covid-19 lead or relevant person for track and tracing purposes.

CONDUCT OF THOSE PERSONS OPERATING OUTSIDE OF BIO-BUBBLE ENVIRONMENT

• Avoid mixing with members of the public as much as possible.

• Always be conscious of social distancing, wear a mask or face covering, and hand sanitise if entering public places, such as supermarkets, cafes, shopping malls, etc.

• Adhere to local health authority guidance regarding the number of persons allowed into your household.

• Ensure that other household members are following all applicable guidance around symptom reporting, isolation, social distancing and personal hygiene.

• Avoid public places where social distancing and good hygiene cannot be practised. Attending restaurants, bars, public houses, night clubs, etc is always prohibited.

• Avoid using public transport. Should you have to use public transport, you must ensure you take all precautions possible to minimise the risk of infection.
