Spring Term
Teamwork and Passion! What a fantastic week we have had here at Highfield with the Dance Production last night at Norden Farm and this morning’s EYFS Spring Celebration. What these two events, and all the other exciting things that our girls do, is showcase the teamwork and passion within our school community. Whether it is performing a gymnastic routine, reciting a poem or indeed putting make up on the girls, everything here at Highfield is a team effort.
The most important thing that we all want to do as educators or parents is to inspire our girls. When they work together as a group, the girls learn more about themselves and one another. It also builds trust and helps the girls to learn to cooperate in different ways. As can be seen from the teamwork and passion exemplified with the Dance Show and the Spring Celebration, these are qualities that can be seen in every Highfield girl from Nursery to Year 6. So let's continue to work together as a team and inspire our girls!
Have a lovely weekend. Joanna Leach
PTA News Thank you to everyone who came out in the wind and rain last Friday for the PTA Quiz Night. Curries and drinks were enjoyed before the quiz kicked off at 8pm. There was a great atmosphere and lots of laughter and the competition was fierce but the Year 6 team, "Trivia Newton-John", retained their title and lifted the 2018. Big shout out to everyone who helped out: Katrine Preen for selling the tickets, Wil Boemen and James Lee for manning the bar, Melissa Chantry and Sarah Mizel for selling raffle tickets, Chloe Boemen for keeping the scores and Mrs Leach for drawing the raffle winners. Thanks especially to Ben Cooke for being a great Quiz Master and Gill Cooke for running another successful night. Thanks also to Spicy Chef for coming in and serving up their yummy curry and to all the businesses and individuals who donated raffle prizes. We raised ÂŁ616 for the PTA and ÂŁ202 for the Link Foundation. The PTA Team
