The pagination on this copy of the bencher has been reversed to display more accurately when embeded. See http://issuu.com/hillelsmith/docs/fleur-de-lis-bencher for the original document. A bencher (also spelled bentcher or bentscher) is a mini prayer book containing the Jewish Grace After Meals, and often various other blessings. In some circles, they are frequently given out as wedding souvenirs. This one was designd to match the flourishes and colors of the wedding invitations, and features the full Hebrew text and English translation of Grace After Meals, the ritual prayers for the Sabbath and holidays, and pages and pages of songs. Note that because the prayer book is primarily Hebrew, the pages and spreads read from right to left.
