MARK CHAMBERLAIN Founder of Bike for Mike
I am very pleased to be able to welcome you to Hillfield Strathallan College for the 2019 Ontario Physical Literacy Summit (OPLS). We are looking forward to connecting, sharing and learning about how physical literacy benefits people of all ages and abilities, and how it is continually shaping what it means to be healthy and active. Whether this is your first OPLS, or you are a returning participant, we hope that you will leave feeling energized, with a better understanding of the importance of engagement in life-long physical activity.
Mark Chamberlain is currently President and CEO of PV Labs, a startup imaging company. Previous to PVLabs, for 18 years, Mark was CEO of Wescam, a company he founded that continues to be the leader in visual information systems markets around the world. Mark’s achievements while at Wescam are highlighted by the many company awards, including an Academy Award for Technical Achievement, 16 Emmy Awards, a Canadian Business Tech Award, a Canadian Export Award, and the company repeated honours as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. Mark and his wife, Debbie currently serve as directors of Bike for Mike, a social enterprise that provides bikes, helmets and locks to thousands of students and their families in downtown Hamilton schools.
