Q. What’s the number one thing I can do to help prevent dementia?

- Claire Naughton, Aberdeen, Scotland

A. Adequate sleep is by far the number one way to prevent dementia. This sleep must be deep and place you in a REM state. Eliminating sugar of any type. Avoid chemicals, heavy metals, etc., by consuming organic plant-based foods, wearing natural organic clothing, and using only organic cleaners and products in your home and workplace. Here on our campus, we have an anti-dementia/Alzheimer's protocol to assist those who are well into the process of memory loss.

Q. How detrimental to our health can household molds be and are there simple ways to determine if we have any issues and/or avoid them?

A. Here at Hippocrates Wellness, we are offering a genetics test to reveal mold that may be in your system. Some people do not have the genetics to prevent the multitude of hazards that come from inhaling and absorbing this life form. Everything from brain fog to tumor growth to lack of inspiration has been linked to this newly discovered MOLD DISORDER.

WATERCRESS SALAD

Ingredients:

4 cups of watercress

1/3 cup of sliced white onions

1/3 cup of sliced fennel

1/2 cup of sliced peppers

1 cup of soaked, rinsed and dehydrated walnuts, crushed

Dressing:

1 oz. lemon juice

4 oz. mild extra virgin olive oil or raw sesame oil

1 clove of garlic

1 pinch of green salt

1 pinch of orange zest

1 tbsp. of Herbes de Provence

1 pinch of cayenne (optional)

Method:

1. Blend all the dressing items in a blender

2. Mix desired amount of the dressing with all the dry ingredients
