The next time you’re looking to plan a night out on the town, check out these bars and restaurants that Hippo readers say serve up some inventive cocktails.

1. iNDusTry easT Bar BesT of The BesT

28 Hanover St., Manchester, 232-6940, industryeastbar.com Jeremy Hart and Dan Haggerty are both seasoned bartenders with around four decades of combined experience. In February 2021 they went into business together to open Industry East, a craft cocktail bar with a unique food menu to match featuring appetizers, flatbreads, loaded hot dogs and more. Cocktails feature modern takes on the classics and all kinds of experimental concoctions, all using syrups, juices and other ingredients made in house.

2. chuck’s BarBershop

90 Low Ave., Concord, 856-7071, find them on Facebook @chucksbarbershopnh Don’t let its name fool you — Chuck’s is a 1920s-style speakeasy “disguised” as a barbershop from the outside. The Prohibition-inspired bar opened in a tucked away corner of Concord’s Eagle Square in early 2018. It’s one of several other similar concepts in the Granite State spearheaded by Liu Vaine, who was inspired by speakeasies he visited in New York City.

815 Elm St., Manchester, 782-8086, 815nh.com Another local speakeasy, 815 is located in an upstairs unit on Elm Street in downtown Manchester. Co-owner Sarah Maillet is always experimenting with both experimental cocktails and modern takes on the classics, all complementing the bar’s intimate vibe and scratch-cooked foods.

4. copper Door resTauraNT

15 Leavy Drive, Bedford, 488-2677; 41 S. Broadway, Salem, 458-2033; copperdoor.com In addition to T-Bones Great American Eatery and CJ’s Great West Grill, the Copper Door is part of the Great New Hampshire Restaurants family. Known for its “not too fancy, not too casual” concept, the Copper Door first opened in Bedford in 2011 before a second location followed suit in Salem in 2017. Both restaurants have a selection of more than a dozen signature cocktails with additional specialty drinks rotating throughout the season.

6. New eNglaND’s Tap house grille

1292 Hooksett Road, Hooksett, 782-5137, taphousenh.com In addition to having several dozen craft beers on tap, New England’s Tap House Grille boasts a diverse selection of signature cocktails, from a margarita with its own house mix to a sugar cookie martini and an “adult” version of a classic Arnold Palmer iced tea.

7. revival kiTcheN & Bar

11 Depot St., Concord, 715-5723, revivalkitchennh.com Owned and operated by award-winning chef Corey Fletcher, Revival is a downtown Concord favorite for its locally sourced farm-to-table cuisine, along with its house craft cocktails.

8. The lucky moose casiNo & TaverN

16 Gusabel Ave., Nashua, 864-0175, luckymoosecasino.com The Lucky Moose may be the place to be for its casino games, but don’t count its cocktail menu out. You’ll find a full bar of seasonal house drinks here — one of its more distinctive offerings is the Lucky Moose Juice, featuring Skyy blood orange vodka infused with pineapple over a five-day period.

9. coDeX B.a.r. (Books. aNTiques. rariTies.)

1 Elm St., Nashua, 864-0115, codexbar.com Hidden behind an unassuming storefront on the corner of Elm and West Pearl streets in Nashua, CodeX is a 1920s-era speakeasy serving a menu of internationally inspired fare and an eclectic lineup of house craft cocktails.

10. coTToN resTauraNT

75 Arms St., Manchester, 622-5488, cottonfood.com Cotton has been owned and operated by award-winning chef Jeffrey Paige since its opening in 2000. Its cocktail menu is especially known for featuring more than a dozen types of martinis.
